We walked downstairs without a reservation on a Sunday night around 8 PM. The restaurant was very crowded, with a couple of small tables open. They sat us quickly at one of the open tables, saying we had preferential treatment, since we we were staying at PBV.

I had 2 Spanish Alberinos and hubby had 2 Chiantis. We ordered too much food, but it all sounded great. We ordered an appetizer of spiced ground beef and olives wrapped in mashed potatoes. That arrived with a green sauce dotted on the plate. We also had a mixed seafood ceviche appetizer. For our main course, we ordered the shared plate of about 5 different dishes.

We also ordered one dessert to share. It was described as Peruvian donuts. It was more like American funnel cake. Two 4" diameter circles, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. It was served with a scoop of fruity ice cream, made with a fruit only grown in Peru.

Everything was delicious and we'll definitely return, although we'll order less food next time. We spent about $150. I dont think there was a service charge. Service was great and everyone was wonderful.

Stop trying to make everyone happy --- you're not tequila!
