Located in Calbas, the restaurant is built on boulders deposited by Tsunami from the Canary Islands, seeing the architecture alone is worth the trip.

Food is largely local, Créole, fairly priced in moderate serving sizes. Best plantains I've ever had anywhere. Four of us, we had filet, tenderloin with garlic shrimp, kingfish and a fish stew. All served with pan fried plantains, rice, seasoned vegetables, fresh made pati ban. All very good, with multiple beers and wines, $35 pp before tip, no service charge.

Service fair, seems to be woefully under-staffed. Food was made to order which may have lent to this.

One downer though. Our [initial] bill included drinks and food that we had not ordered. Fortunately for us, we noticed the $120 overage. It took some time and angry looks (our way) but standing with the waitress at the electronic cash register we believe that we got it all sorted out. We don't want to think why our server would do this.

Too bad, otherwise a good experience. Lesson learned: Check those tabs...
