Not a restaurant, but a monthly market with local products and cumino criollo (Aruban food, home cooked). It is located at Santa Cruz. If you drive from the hotels to Santa Cruz, you will see a large sign with Santa Rosa on your right hand side. There is a road to the right in front of this sign. Take this road and you are there.
The market is normally on the first Sunday of the month from 9 am to 4 pm. But since it was the last market of this year, this time it was the last Sunday of October.
After taking care of our shopping (mild hot ginger sauce, very nice handmade christmas ornaments and a small clay cunucu house - all made by local people and much cheaper than at your usual tourist shops), it was time to eat. There is a lot of stands with food. We had 6 bollo keshi con jalapeno (fried cheese/jalapeno balls) and stoba di peski (a fish stew) with veggies, baked banana and pan bati. It was all so good. Total cost was 18 florin.
If you want something off the beaten path and really local, visit this market!
