if any of you ever stayed at riu you know you have to get to the beach very very early to get a front row palapa. I usually go down around 5. at 9:30 today there were plenty open, including front row. my TS is at Riu and i normally stay at other places before it starts. This year the rate for a single was really good so I booked to stay here. not a fan of AI but its included with the room. the buffet is limited, they serve you. some of the food looks like it sat for awhile but they will cook fresh if you ask. Only 1 of the specialty restaurants are open at a time, probably won't eat at any. beach was empty, around 5pm i counted 16 people on the beach.
casino here is only open till 10. they do have some entertainment but the place is empty. reminds me of the old aruba grand which i miss very much
