got to newark airport just after 6, documents were checked before you get to the check in area. was through security and at the united club by 6:15. Club was very empty, all the food was sealed snacks, oreo, ritz bits, yougurt, etc.
United boards from the back of the plane by rows. they hand you a wipe as you board. I was lucky to have a row to myself. they do have beverage service, they give you a little bag with water, pretzels, a cookie and a wipe.
we took off at 8:55 and landed at 12:45. we exited by rows, 5 at a time. they asked that everyone stay seated until their row was called which everyone did. in the terminal they ask so see your paperwork and i got a blue tested card. immigration was quick, there were no other flights and i was in row 12 so there wasn't alot of people. bags were already coming off when i got to claim area. one of mine was already off so I went to duty free, only 2 other people in there. by the time i finished my other bag was there. as you exit there are 4 or 5 people checking your paperwork again. if you have a blue tested card they just take that and you head to the exit. all bags go through the machine.
I was out the door at 1:15.
i have to say it was very organized and probably the easiest travel day i ever had.
