Good Morning!
We are suppose to have sun today too, so far a no show. Temp is 22 degrees.
Another day hanging around the house, I must get my butt in gear and do some house work.

Have a nice day ALL~

Good morning! Cloudy and chilly again today. I'll pick up my biking buddy and take him to Speakeasy to visit a favorite bartender of his who is moving to Florida. No plans other than that.

Good to hear Kenny's toe looks better.

What's up with the hot dog rolls? You mean buns? You can't get them on the island?

Google New England style hot dog buns. They are split on top; can be toasted on the grill or grilled in a frying pan with butter.

Pat, I have a buddy that used to be a head chef at a local restaurant here. He once told me the owner wanted to serve Lobster Rolls for a special New England menu. He wanted to be authentic, so he tried to find New England style buns but they were too expensive to be sent here. Then his friend that ran a place in Ohio told him that he made his own New England Hotdog Buns by making sourdough and folding it around wax paper and rounding the ends halfway through baking. That sounds like intricate, delicate, precise, and potentially disastrous work to me...but apparently it worked for him.

Good afternoon all. The sun is shining brightly. That means I get some vitamin D while sitting on the closed-in deck today. Other than that, another lazy day. Have a good one.

Good Morning! Gonna be chilly next several days. Ann, lucky you, we cancelled CT trip this year, got no
real hotdog rolls and can't get them here. Carolina, happy Lucy is back home. Our 2 Bichons are in urns
here with us. I made a big batch of brocolli rabe (rapini) with sausage yesterday. Ate alot of it too!
Be well, safe and enjoy today everyone!!

Are those cool temps the normal for this time of year? I so wanted to head back down to AMI later this month, but the temps are giving me a pause. Will probably put the idea on the shelf for March now, hoping the temps are a little warmer.

I just can't (and won't) eat a hot dog in one of those bun things  I ordered a lobster roll in Ohio once (sorry what a mistake). They served it on a hamburg roll  My friend said...that's what you get for ordering lobster this far inland!

I am sure it is not exactly what you are looking for, but Pepperidge Farms now makes Top Sliced Hot Dog buns in regular, potato and Hawaiian sweet. They sure are easier to put your hot dog and condiments in.

I like Boar's Head Natural Casing - George likes Ballpark. I've seen Pepperidge Farm with the top slice, but I'm not sure the sides are the same as those in the picture. https://www.pepperidgefarm.com/product/ ... -dog-buns/ I guess it's like getting good bagels and Italian bread outside of NY.

We used to call them "fart dogs" growing up. Outside of earshot from Mom and Dad, of course.
