Made my 'winter soup'. Making cornbread next! Will have a glass of red to start 2021. What about you?

I have sauerkraut, pork chops, and kielbasa in the crock pot. I'll have that w/garlic mashed taters & gravy, and rolls. I'll probably crack open a beer shortly. I have my Christmas beers to finish up.

GO BUCKEYES!!!!

We're having prime rib (for two) on the rotisserie (his idea and he's cooking it) along with a baked potato, sauteed mushrooms and creamy horseradish. Gin and tonic for me tonight. The birthday boy will have bourbon and ginger ale.

dropped a heater off at my sisters for the boys to use in their weight room section of the garage. The boys each had a few friends spend the night so she had a spread of bagels and quiche. Couldn’t pass on that.

Both boys were zombies, billy more so. asked if he was hung over and he said no, however, the carefully constructed tower of beer cans and solo cups in the basement seemed to tell a different story.

Dinner was boneless wings for me and coconut shrimp for him. Froze most of the cookies, 4 1/2 weeks of no workouts have taken a toll, need to get back in shape. Just gatorade

I made a huge pot of tomato sauce and 105 meatballs for the freezer today, so that's what we'll be having. I'm drinking Beachcombers and Tommy's drinking Sam Adams winter later.

Cheers and happy birthday to George!

B'fast at 12:30 was fried egg, toast, and 3 sausage links. Lunch at 6:15, finished off the bowl of boiled cabbage, and nuked some slow cooker beef I had thawed. Haven't felt good all day, some I'm sure, is the weather, and some is getting up 4 hours early yesterday (7 a.m.) and getting to bed an hour later (3 a.m.) with only a short nap. And too, some of the several "snacks" I had last night didn't settle well......

Our grandson who lives in KY came home this week-end so Christopher, his parents and brother came over and we had pizza and exchanged our Christmas gifts. Had a good evening with them. None of us felt like exchanging gifts on Christmas because we wanted PopPop with us. Our daughter and her family didn't come because our grandson was exposed at work to the virus and needs to quarantine until Monday and then be tested. So we will have one more Christmas dinner and exchange.

I got so full at the VFW. Two big crockpots full...one of blackeyed peas with ham, carrots and celery along with cornbread muffins and the other of homemade chili with veggies and fritos. Bloody Mary's were the special for $2. I had two of them :D

It was leftover beef stroganoff. Milk with dinner.

I had a glass of red in late evening.

We had chicken fajitas for din last night - over a salad vs. in wraps.

Ann is your winter soup recipe posted here somewhere? I'm always looking for a new soup recipe to try.
