Good morning, starting the day with rain/freezing rain but then warm up a bit to clear it which is good as we have a market tomorrow.

Already have my workout done, put ribs in the crockpot for dinner tonight. Going to dip a few choc PB sandwiches & caramel sandwiches for tomorrow.
Will be taking down the few decorations we put up, started last night a little. I like the look of a clean & tidy living room once it is all gone.

Have a great year all

Good morning friends!

Our tree is still up - no plans at the moment to take it down. I just love the lights.

Enjoy your day with Ashley and Mike, Donna.

Thinking of Carolina and family...

Sunny and cold here today, but if we're going to walk, we have to get out and do it today as the next few days will be rainy.

May this New Years Day be the beginning of a healthy, wonderful year for all of you and your families.

Good morning everyone and hope that 2021 is a good year for all. Will probably start to take down our decorations this coming week little by little. As was said tree will be last because of being time consuming.

Enjoy your time with Ashley and Mike Donna. I remember taking a night flight home from HI and slept through a good portion of the flight. Made the time go fast.
Thinking of you and your family Carolina.
Went right downstairs Ann and went out the door with my right foot, I would have forgot otherwise.

Good Morning and again a Happy New Year to Everyone. Firstly, having read in the thread about Carolina's
Lucy, thoughts are with her and family as I have known the pain of having our beloved pets cross over the
Rainbow Bridge! Today will be a "veg" day. Fireworks were heard from around 7:30 last night until around
2:30 this morning. Let all be well today, needs fulfilled, safety, and the wish of a much better year to come.
Everyone enjoy today!!

Good Morning!
The house is so quiet....Ken is really having a hard time. He came and got me up....I could see how upset he was, I said do you want me to come down now....he said, yes, please....it's too quiet down there. Breaks my heart. Yesterday was brutal, there are not other words. Lilly was amazing, she laid on the vet floor spooning Lucy while they put her to sleep. I don't know how she could be so strong. Yesterday was awful, was really hoping today would feel different, but honestly, it does not. All the unconscious, waiting to hear her nails tapping on the floor, reaching to give her that scraggly end of my sandwich, wanting to snuggle up with her on the couch. I know it will get easier over time, but today it hurts. So we will just have to go through this time.
We will go eat our collard greens, black eyed peas, corn bread and pork as we Southerners insist will bring us good luck for the new year. If that is all it takes, I will have two helpings. Tonight at least we have football to watch. Two good games. I will be a Notre Dame fan for the first time in my life, then I will pull for my Clemson Tigers against OSU. Last night, I swear, there was NOTHING on the TV....we watched a bunch of mindless Ninja Warrior???? and the Diners, Drive ins and Dives hoping to feel hungry at least.
Sorry for the glum post. Wishing all my wonderful monkey friends the best possible 2021. The support and love y'all share throughout the year is so greatly appreciated. Hugs to all!

Good morning. Does anyone else leave their Christmas decorations up until "Little Christmas"?
Late good morning to all. You bet, Laura, our decorations will be with us until at least January 6.

Years ago, I lived in an upstate NY area where they were a goodly number of Orthodox Christians. They didn't celebrate Christmas until January 7th. They had New Year's parties before January 14th. Decorations stayed up until the end of the month.

Anyway, best wishes for a better 2021 from FL. I just poked my head outside, still in 'jammies'. Quite warm and breezy. Almost 80° before noon.

Very sorry for your family loss, Carolina!

Have a good one, kids!

Good afternoon. At least 2020 is over. Sadly I see they are still playing bowl games. I don't think a good decision. Lots of rain here.

Oh my goodness, I saw on Facebook that someone wrapped their Christmas Tree instead of taking it all apart. Got a chuckle and realized.....that is brilliant. My tree has disco balls and other silver unbreakable ornaments, and we had a roll of saran wrap stuff from when we moved and started wrapping it.....DH walked it right up the attic stairs and it is all put away! Took all of 10 minutes.
