Oh no, Carolina, I know how much you all love Lucy. But if she is in such a bad condition, it is the right and mercyfull thing to do. I wish I could just hug you.

My heart is breaking for you & your family Carolina, I know how much a dog becomes part of the family. The most loving thing you can do is let her go

Good afternoon ( it is almost 1PM here). As others are, I am happy to see this year end for the world.
Other than the gash on my shin (which will be ok but boy is it a messy, slow process) it has been an ok year for us...in our little family no one lost their job, the kids are surviving remote learning, and so far health is good. As Linda stated, my heart hurts for all those impacted so severely. DonnnaCt, happy to read your mother will be moving into assisted living.
You all will rest better. Carolina and family....crying with you. Lucy had a wonderful life with the 4 of you....may your memories carry you through this hard time.

On a 'virus note' if you are coming to the island soon please watch the numbers. Flights arriving from countries that are on lock down and from an island that currently has 7x the number of cases than Ar*ba. For the first time since we have been here (12 years) and long before....our street is not doing their pargara at midnight and of course no gathering outside follwoing. We have decided to stand in front of our own homes, with masks and raise a glass to 2021. Well distanced yet we will all be able to see each other. That tells you how seriously sensible locals take this current situation!

Oh no, that's so heartbreaking, Carolina. Lucy is a member of your family and you gave her a wonderful life. I'm so sad for you and your family. Hugs...
