I seriously don’t get it, isn’t the goal not to contract or spread COVID-19 while trying to live our lives the best way possible? Look after ourselves and family and especially those with compromised immune systems. How hard is that  I really need to stop looking at all the stupid posts and not just here. Anyways, cheers and back to the pandemic after a great week away

Just about to go pick up my takeout from Red Robin. Fried pickles, burger w/pepper jack, guacamole, bacon, LTO, and mayo, and garlic fries.

Relaxing after being on my feet all day. Two kitties went home and best news is that Hilton will be going home next week with my brother's friend Tara (they worked together at NYPD). Hilton is a bit of a special needs cat because she has a heart murmur and takes Atenolol daily. She's about three and has been with us since she was a kitten. Sooooo happy for her.

Donovers here tonight along with a gin and tonic.

We're on the front porch having cocktails, XL Beachcomber for me, Sam Summer for Tommy. Reason for the XL cocktail...I sat in on a zoom "graduation ceremony" this afternoon while at work for my 22 year old nephew/godson in the rehab facility he's at in Utah. He's doing well here, better than the others he's been in. :( Sister told me he was happy I watched. She and I were on the phone crying and laughing for my drive home from work. It wore me out, I can't even imagine how she feels. I'll take any of the extra prayers anyone has for James.

Dinner will be grilled Mako Shark and grilled marinated steak tips. And more Beachcombers.

Thrilled that some of your kittens and cats have found new homes, Laura!

Cheers!

Us too. :( Best wishes to James. We went to a club with a friend for their weekly lobster raffle. We didn’t win but we don’t eat it anyway - would’ve given it to Richard. Two people won twice and they were 9 & 10 pound lobsters. We sat outside for a few beers and burgers. Ran into another friend who is also a member and plan to meet him and his wife during the week to catch up. Judi, you need a swim shirt! Good news for the kitties.

Prayers for James's recovery. At about 7:30 I looked out the window and saw flashing lights and fire department vehicles next door and across the street. Turns out Barbara, who I've been kind of looking out for since Andy passed away had been on the phone with a friend in Florida when there was an issue on Barbara's side. The friend called 911 for a wellness check and they had to break in. Apparently she fell down the stairs. Not sure what happened but the had a gash on her leg and they took her to hospital to check her out. Like Carolina's neighbor, not sure if she has family nearby and she has two parakeets. I'll check on them in the AM. Going forward we'll have to make sure we have an emergency contact number and someone has a key.

Cheers! Started with a mango Margarita. Lunch was a shrimp thing, supper just now was a sausage thing. Two weeks now with no recycle pickup - too many employees in quarentine. Did some pressure washing on our shed, hot tired. Grocery run possible tomorrow. Scary because I'd guess 80% of customers continue to refuse to wear masks or follow the one-way aisles. Do they not care, or are they just stupid?
