WAHOOO!!!!!!! We are officially on vacation. Heading out a day early, tomorrow, to a rental home in Port Charlotte (next to Punta Gorda). The plan is to cook, read, float in the pool and watch the birds. No alarms will ring. Oldest DD will join us on Wednesday and then we will all fly out to her house in Cincinnati on Sunday. We have one way tickets!! Don't need to come back till Sept 5th and then quarantine for 2 weeks. Who knows where we will end up!!
Dinner was chicken tenders and steamed veg. Drink of the day? Grey Goose Mules.

Enjoy Maryanne!! Cheers with a cold beer. I made sauce and meatballs today so we had that with linguine for supper. Nathan is visiting Saturday and he will be expecting auntie’s meatballs. Good thing I love him.  I thought our bathroom would be done today but he needs another day so tomorrow is it.

billy's friend was released from the hospital today. he did have a stroke and the neurologist said his case is very rare but thinks it was a once in a lifetime occurrence. its possible it was triggered by the pre-workout supplements he was taking. he has some weakness in his left arm and they said if he takes it easy he can work his way back to normal. I know my sister will be tossing those supplements.

we had broiled tilapia, corn and a salad. cheers to maryannes vaca, sounds great!

Donover chicken, pan fried potatoes and butternut squash for him. I had a salad with with sliced chicken....the homemade blue cheese dressing makes it high calorie but oh so tasty  A glass of white. Beautiful day at the beach today....it was a 'normal' July day....some tourists, some young Dutch 'kids' and a few locals. Every umbrella at Reflexions was in use for part of the day. Looked like the dive boat went out also. And I could tell it was 3ish because Barefoot was setting out their tables. A bit of 'normal' in these trying times. Maryanne....wishing you a safe journey...I know you will have fun! :D

Just ordered stromboli for delivery. Sheltina had meatballs. She could only get 4 down. They were about the size of quarters.

Currently drinking beer and watching OPENING DAY OF BASEBALL, BABY!!!! My fantasy outfielder hit the first home run of the year. Gosh, this is awesome! I love sports!

I can describe the ingredients, but I don't exactly know what to call it...
- some boneless breast chicken
- cream of celery soup
- a grain mix from Aldi's
- some asparagus
Turned out thicker than many soups, thinner than a casserole. I liked it...an additional serving is there for a weekend leftover meal.

Bon voyage, Maryanne. 'Cane season may still be here when you get back. Enjoy anyway!

Going to sip some Canadian over ice in a while.

I have been thinking of Billy's friend for the last 2 days, thank you for the update....

We had meatloaf, little colored potatoes and zuccini, I should say I had, Larry fell asleep 5 mins before supper. He is awake now, doesn't feel like eating. I am going to bed.

Linda, I'm happy to read that Billy's friend is going to be ok. That must've been so scary.

Glad to hear Billys friend is out & should make a full recovery.

I am always very wary of supplements that promise amazing things, I work with a woman who was taking “weight loss” supplements & they gave her a small stroke!

We had pasta with garlic shrimps, green asparagus tips and grilled zucchini. The grilling set of the smoke alarm. Geez, what a noise.

We visited the old fortress village. It was really pretty.

The walls are in the shape of a star.
