Good morning. Another gorgeous day here. Today we are visiting Veenhuizen, a village that was build in the late 19th century to re-educate the poor living in cities like Amsterdam. If you didn’t have work, or was living on the street, they transported you and your family to this village and tried to make “honourable” people out of you. They decided everything for you, and the men were forced to work and the women to keep a tidy home. Alcohol and cigarettes were not allowed. If you did break the rules, or were an alcoholic, they put you in the jail part of this village. The village was no longer functioning after World War 2, but the jail was there until 10 or 15 years ago. The wards were living in the houses of the village. Now it became a museum and the houses are occupied by citizens who bought them.

Good morning, dentist day. Going to the dentist on a hot summer day is so wrong. Just one more appt after this and I will be caught up with all my appts that were cancelled during the lockdown. It is in a mall and will be my first time back to a shopping centre since before Christmas. Mom wants me to check out the food court coffee shop and see if It’s open and if anyone is walking, it was her hangout pre pandemic. Is everyone without a bag just walking :?

Rent your own dock anyone?

Good morning! I have no idea how many bars Judi took me to yesterday. What a fun day! She's coming here today and we'll hang at the beach or bar.

Donna, I hope you had a good day. I, too, can hardly believe it has been 6 years.

Good morning everyone. The guy will be back to finish the bathroom today. Other than a quick trip to the bank and Wally World it’s a workday.

G'Mornin! DD is bringing the boys over this morning so she can bake a birthday cake for her DH. Can I come for breakfast, Mom? Of course!!
Getting our hairs cut this afternoon. Our hairdresser has her own shop at her house and we all wear masks.
Hey Don, did #1 like the Dr? It is a big step going from a Pediatrician to a PCP. How is Sheltina's stomach?
Oh crap, Judi.....you would have lost me after 3 bars

  So fun!

Good morning. Happy hump day.

We're in the process of cutting the cord with cable tv. I hooked up our own modem and wifi mesh system last night, so no more monthly modem rental charge, and I'll cancel the cable tv in the next couple of days. We've had a Roku on the tv in our bedroom for about a year and now we just bought the Roku Smart Soundbar with subwoofer and extra speakers in the living room. Buy once, no monthly charges. I'll also try to get quicker internet for less $$$. My BIL texted me a copy of his lower internet charges, so I have some ammunition. I'm so sick of paying so much for cable and internet monthly.

Just work today, then home to get guest room ready for nephew and his wife who are coming from NH Friday for the weekend.

Have a great day everyone.
