It's hard to believe it's been seven years since this storm wreaked havoc on the NE and devastated parts of NJ and Long Island. We were drinking Wild Turkey 101 that night and we'll have some tonight. On the menu is D/O Salisbury Steak with mashed potatoes and peas. Stronger than the storm...

Baked chicken breast, sweet potato, BS ( always makes me think of Shaggy) and a glass of red.

I think of him often...BS, Cool Ranch Doritos, loading the dishwasher (I seem to remember him complaining about the kids loading all the silverware up front, or something like that).

We're going for sushi in Chatham (where froggy has a house) tonight at our favorite restaurant. http://www.bluefinschatham.com

We fished at Race Point today and Tommy caught 3 stripers, I got to take the pictures (i.e. I didn't catch anything!). We also saw tons of seals. Then we stopped at the Brewster Flats and Rock Harbor for sunset.

Nice. The stripers are running here but our boat is out of the water. We need a new motor, gas tank and who knows what :(

Remember Hurricane Sandy very well. She did some serious damage to our property. I had crab legs and DH had a chicken pot pie for dinner. The other day, we had a pretty serious expense, over $700, for our headlights. I was pretty bummed out. But today was a good day, I bought a $10 scratch ticket and won $1,000!!!
Life is good, wicked good!

I sort of remember when Sandy was nearing/off Florida...hard to forget since Sandy is my wife's name. No impact here, but I was stunned to read about (and view) the devastation in NJ, NY and beyond.

I needed to make a pasta salad for a shared Halloween luncheon tomorrow, but Sandy asked if I would also make baked macaroni and cheese for dinner. She has always said if I cook, she will clean up...and believe it, I make a mess. Double mess today...since the output was 2 dishes. Anyway, the mac 'n cheese was good (not my best), the pasta salad is chilling for tomorrow. I was wrecked and she did clean up before dinner. We had some peas with the baked macaroni. Milks of choice went with the meal.

Congrats, Maryanne!

I'm ending the day with some vodka in lemonade-flavored seltzer. Sweet dreams, everyone.
