Wahoo!! We got a surprise day off today. Even thought we love Jackson to pieces, it is nice to get a long weekend. I slept in till 8am, DH opened the bedroom windows so I could hear the birds. What a wonderful way to wake up! We did some errands, went food shopping and came home to sit in the sun. Covered with SPF 15. And there was a Grey Goose Mule in our Yeti cups.
Chicken for dinner with some sort of steamed veggies!
Life is good.........oh, so good!

Cheers! Don't knock CR with diet tonic John until you try it, it's a refreshing summer drink  Ollie's mom came to town, while Dad babysit. Ollie is still a very sick dog and there is a team of docs guiding them through this. His case is complicated and everyone is basically guessing at this point. Although his surgery and healing is going well, unfortunately his body is attacking his own body as a result of the tumor upsetting his immune system. :( We went to Costco and I shopped on her account, I'm not a member. Another stop at a Garden Centre, it was a good day and she enjoyed getting out of the house after 3 weeks. The steroids require him to have access to a tree every hour or two so she has been housebound and sleep deprived.
Hope your friend will be here either Thursday/Friday, Laura, those are the best days next week.

German lunch and beer today. Not sure there will be any dinner since lunch was so. Karen, my friend is actually leaving on Friday so it will be the week after that she'll be in Halifax.

I'm having a pizza with pepperoni, salami, sausage, and roasted garlic cloves. Salad with lemon dressing to go with it.

I met Tommy at the gym after work. I was thinking all day that I really didn't feel like going, but I'm glad I did.

We had chicken tenders and broccoli tots for dinner. We're both drinking beachcombers.

Oh Ollie, you poor beautiful pup. I hope he's not in pain and maybe the vets can guess the right answer to make him feel better. I hate hearing about sick pets. It's like babies...they can't tell you what hurts.

Cheers to Ollie and his mom and dad.

He is on pain meds and is able to walk around by himself now so there has been some signs of improvement although unsure how much is being masked by the drugs. The next Month as they make adjustments to meds and his reaction to those to see if his immune system can be ‘reset/jump started’ and wean him off the pain meds will be a critical call on his quality of life and possibly some hard decisions. Dad said he had a good day yesterday. :D
