I have a friend from Belgium coming over on Saturday. She will stay the night. I will be making slow roasted meat. She returns home on Sunday. That evening our eldest will come for dinner. We are planning beer can chicken, fries and coleslaw. Icecream with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert.

Yum! I'm coming to your place for dinner

Pammy, you are more than welcome! 8)

I love that pic, Maryanne!

Laura, I've made Teri's make ahead potatoes before, and frankly my Mom makes them even more. Works well.

Easter dinner will be at brother/sil's (they have the largest house). I believe we'll have 16 including my mom, siblings/spouses/some kids, my SIL's parents and Mike's parents will be here.

I know my MIL and I are responsible for potato salad (she brings it from a great deli), deviled eggs, and dessert. Mom is probably making home made yeast rolls and another dessert. Not sure about the rest.

Jim will be at his sisters as his brother cannot travel unless it is to the dr's.

Flame glazed BS ham, boneless TB
Mashed potatoes - my brother makes great ones, corn, salad, rolls

Buffalo chicken dip, cheese and crackers and veggies and dip and whatever my SIL brings
Making a carrot cake, chocolate pies for dessert.
My other SIl usually makes trifle but she said nothing yet so I guess I will make brownies too.

Took Monday off

I’ve always wanted to try that make ahead potato one but thought it may taste too rich. My family is basic meat and potatoes.

I’d love the tried and true Oriental salad Deb. Lemon bars sound good too Kristin.

I usually just add a little butter and milk when I make mashed. Had some great ones in Texas made by Christy, which were pretty rich. I'll probably go this round without the extras that Teri uses. I'm going to make baby carrots with butter, brown sugar and dill, which is pretty basic and a box or two of Green Giant or Bird's Eye (I forgot) frozen cauliflower with cheese.

Going to the Cape for Easter. Mrs. Froggy's cousin from CT will be joining us. Having a Honey Baked ham delivered.
Loved reading of all the plans. Family and friends. Nothing better.

We're hosting this year. We have a couple of "maybes" but 16 confirmed.

Our menu is ham (shank and butt), boneless turkey breast, potato salad, cole slaw, sweet potato casserole, mac & cheese, baked beans, tossed salad. Desserts will be "marshmallow dessert" (it's been called this since we were kids  ), cheesecake, and this fabulous frosted white cake my niece makes.

16 seems to be the magic number this year.
