Just back from eye surgeon with George. He's a little uncomfortable (this was to correct the cataract surgery our previous opthalmologist did a year or two ago) I'm having a gin and tonic and will be picking up some Burger King in a little while.

I can honestly say I have never had the opportunity to sample spam and hopefully never will. We had leftover turkey, rice and salad. Water and orange juice here. Hope George feels more comfortable soon. How did the other eye come out?

We had chicken salad sandwiches and tomato soup.
I had the last of the eggnog to drink~
We have been to the Spam Museum in Austin Minnesota.
We always had Spam growing up, My Mom would fry it and make sandwiches..
I used to make scalloped potatoes and spam, Larry would take spam sandwiches to work too.
Haven't had any since that time we toured the Museum and can honestly say I do not miss it...

Used to eat it as a kid. Just thinking about that clear, slimy crap that's all over it, makes me want to gag.
My brother and I were talking about fried bologna the other day. Another yuck, but we didn't have a choice.
I love and miss my mother, but she wasn't the best cook. Another yuck, red bean soup.......barf.

I loved fried bologna Marylou!! It was a treat in our home growing up (my mother was a great cook but would make these 'treats' usually on sunday nights  !!) Never liked spam....don't remember having it very often! What I did like as a kid (and I was fussy fussy  ) was deviled ham (came in a can with a devil on it  )mixed with relish and mayo....made a great sandwich...wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole today!

We just finished leftover homemade chicken pot pie and quiche. Just water with lemon.

I've never had spam either! I do remember having deviled ham and fried bologna sandwiches when we were kids though.
