Congratulations to Clemson! I thought it would be a closer game than that. Brent Venables is from Salina--graduated at the same high school I did right across the street.

It was a great game. Freshman quarterback and receiver. I was cheering for them this time.

I was very happy. Alabama deserves the Karma. I will say that Clemson beat Alabama by 28 points, but only beat Notre Dame by 27 points, which makes Notre Dame greater than Alabama. The Clemson QB is from Cartersville, were our Suzie lived and where I lived from 1987-1992.

I thought Cartersville sounded familiar. The kid was good, so well poised for a 19 year old.

Yes, Yes and YES!!!!
I could never have imagined a game that good! I will tell you, the anxiety before and during the game (poor Lucy might have a bald spot from my petting to calm myself) The elation after the game, I could not go to sleep. I was buzzing for hours. I watched every interview, got caught up on ALL the laundry.....finally went up to bed but I don't think I ever fell asleep. This morning was ROUGH. I felt like I had been hit by a truck. Luckily, my tennis was rained out...not sure I would have been much help on the court today. I tried to nap but have been on the phone with my mom, my sister, my bff, tennis peeps...no nap yet. Thank you for the kind thoughts. I love this Tiger team. They are a special group. We have a lot of talent that is young, but some of the senior leadership is going to be missed: Christian Wilkins, Hunter Renfro, Clelin Ferrell, Dexter Lawrence....a bunch going to the NFL. Still on top of the world!
