I saw it today...I took Georgene's advice and did what I was told to do....I was on a job, and my heart felt like it was going to explode...Could not catch my breath, No pain, no heavy chest pain, in fact no pain at all, just sweating for no reason, and could not catch my breath.

What does a smoker do with that...He goes out and lights up, 2 puffs and I could not do it...I asked my self, " am I having a heart attack...( I am a rookie at those )

Told my helper we we shuting down, and I would drive to the hospital...I dropped myself off, and he went back to the job to finish.

Half an hour and I was fine now, wasted trip ( made me feel like a fool ), but was told I did the right thing.

They found nothing, said If I had my heart patch on ( that comes Friday ) they could have told me what happened.

Called George when I was done and out.

I guess I should feel blessed, but some how, I feel cursed, One moment I am flighing as high as a kite, and the next moment, I don't have the energy to want to write my name.

George has mentioned Bi-Polor...I will have to google that...Sounds bad to me, more meds

Is it HH yet

You definitely did the right thing - better to be safe than sorry and I'm glad you checked out okay.

I do sooooo love you. But, please....if you think you are having any kind of heart issue, call 911. Don't go out and have a smoke. Damien deserves to know his Grandpa. Sorry for the guilt trip, but it is better than not caring. AAARRRGGGGGHHHHH

Could it have been A-Fib? That happened to Tony and when we rushed him to the hospital that's what it was. We thought it was anxiety, but we were glad we checked it out. Or maybe a thyroid problem. Good luck to you.

You did the right thing, the good thing is false alarm, don't let that stop you if there is a next time.

I second that. My brother has some permanent paralysis because he waited too long while he was in denial he was having a stroke. You don't want to have them say "if only you got here sooner". Proud of you for going. Soon you'll get the answers and the treatment plan, hang in there!

Hi Linda

Dan, sounds like A-Fib to me too. It runs in my family, my dad, uncle, aunts and brother all have it.
One minute you feel fine and the next, sluggish and like you have no energy at all. Your heart just goes out of rhythm. There are medicines that can help and they can do cardio version, where they jump start you and get your heart back on rhythm. I hope they can find out what is going on. My family has found there are triggers...caffeine, certain cold meds, stress, exercise, nicotine....please be careful and I hope they find out what is going on with you. All the best!

Dan, bi-polar is a mental problem that causes a person to be either too depressed to do anything or to have a super amount of ambition and could accomplish anything.

Dan, my brother, follow the advice..... If I discovered smoking was good for us, I'd buy a carton of Marlboro Menthol Lights in 10 minutes and burn one after the other. But it doesn't work that way. Wish I could. We are all gonna die, but do what you can to maximize the time with your family and friends (us too in the Swamp..) Make the hard choices. We love you and DO NOT WANT TO LOSE YOU.

All that being said, I'm so glad you went in when you did.

I'm so glad you went and it was nothing, THIS time!
Next time, let the helper drive if you will not call 911
You do not want to get in an accident and hurt another family do you?

Thanks all...I heard the word A-Fib yesterday.
I'd like to know how I got on this rollercoaster, and ask the conductor if I can get off now.

I read up on bipolor ( I hope that is NOT ) part of what I have.

I am going by the emergency room this am. with donuts ( I am pretty sure ) I was not that nice with them yesterday.
I remember saying, " if you don't take these things off my chest, I am going to rip them off "

Good thing is I have not cried in like 2 days
