It is a good day. Ann, I am a self proclaimed slot head. Loved when the coins used to rain out of the slot machine. My hands would be filthy.
I loved Sears and Roebucks. Remember getting their Christmas catalog and dreaming. My Mom worked at Sears in Saugus MA and I still remember that phone number 233-4100.
Ingrid, sending a gentle hug to Mom. Hope she is peaceful.
We actually opened our windows to warm up. The wind is blowing, birdies are chirping and the wind chimes are making beautiful music. Life is good!!

Good morning all.
Had an okay day at the market yesterday until it started to rain when all the shoppers left so the market closed up early.

Today will are filling 160 cookies tins (1 dzn assorted plus a choc PB sandwich), they are being delivered tomorrow to be used as client gifts.

Ann, glad you made it back safe & sound, when will your next trip back be?

Ingrid have a good visit with your mum.

Happy Sunday all

Good luck with the DNA kits. It's rainy here. Another quiet day for us other than a wake this afternoon for a neigbhbor's mother who was 99. God bless her.

Good morning!

Rainy, yukky day here today. We are supposed to take a ride to visit David's Mom's, but the "me" part of "we" doesn't really want to go. Debating do I be a good partner/wife and go without complaining, be a good partner/wife and go but complain, or just not go? To be determined.... :D

Linda, you just reminded me that I have an Ancestry DNA kit here that I never did. Thanks.

Ingrid, wishing you a nice visit with your Mother.

The Sears store here in our city just died a slow painful death. It's closed. Big box retail is going away slowly but surely.

Wishing all a peaceful and relaxing Sunday.

I watched DNA Dinners last night for the first time.

"DNA Dinners is a ground-breaking new series that explores the diverse heritages of 16 individuals as they discover their roots through DNA analysis and celebrate them through cooking. In each episode, host Tyrone Edwards surprises one individual with the results of their AncestryDNA test. Alongside an expert chef, this person then explores their new background and creates a delicious dish that beautifully blends the unique flavours and ingredients of their two cultures. The meal is then shared with the individual’s family at a party where they celebrate their newfound heritage."

Walmart was a breeze; I was there and back in 30 min. :D We lost K-mart a long time ago, Target came and went, then Sears; not too many options here.

Good morning! A cloudy, wet day here...currently light sn*w falling. I will go pick up my biking buddy for our couple beers at the bar meeting. Then going to the VFW for the Chiefs game at 3pm and celebrate a guy's birthday...it will be fun!

My sister, her son and I did DNA tests. Thanks to Laura, I checked when they did an update and the new results sound more like me. I never heard of DNA Dinners.

Our Sears closed. So did Dillard's. Kmart's last day is the end of this year and they will be closed. I don't know how JC Penney's manages to stay open. Seems like Kohl's does a good amount of business as does Target. Our Walmart is open 24 hrs.

I didn't win anything on the island either, Linda, but I didn't have a lot of time for gambling so I saved some $$ there. Next trip I'll have a little more time. I only do slots too.

Pammy, that is a lot of tins of cookies!

Good Morning.

Rainy, 40°. Back from early mass. Doing a little more online shopping today. 75% of my Christmas shopping is done and all from the comfort of my livingroom chair.

Continued prayers for comfort & peace are with your mom and hugs to you, Ingrid.

My brother & sil, sister & bil, nephews, Ashley, Allie & Joe and I all did 23 & Me DNA, Health & Ancestry testing. It's been fascinating comparing results and seeing our inherited blood clotting/hemorrhaging disorder, genetic makeup and traits. Who knew I had elite athlete muscle composition underneath by layers of fat insulation.

Prayers are with those dealing with health, family or life challenges.

Good~Afternoon!
Gorgeous Autumn day......sunny and a high of 61. Took advantage of the good weather and decorated the outside of the house and shrubs. I went in the hot tub and took a shower.....Jim is finishing up!
Tomorrow is cleaning the house and laundry day......always something to do!
We'll wrap the night up with a late Steeler game!
Have a great evening Monkeys!
