We are headed to North Myrtle Beach South Carolina this morning, plan on exploring MB area until Sunday then meandering down the coast into Georgia for the next week or so. Anyone have suggestions on must sees while we are there?

Enjoy safety in your travels & explorations. I don't know if your planning on going as far as Savannah, but charm there!

Only time I was in GA was back in 1968 at Fort Gordon for MP training so I guess you wouldn't want to go there.
Safe travels and have fun.

If you are into military history, Patriots Point is just outside of Charleston - The USS Yorktown is there and lots of other military stuff. Then, a bit further south in Pooler, GA (near Savannah) is the National Museum of the Mighty 8th Air Force. Both downtowns of Charleston and Savannah will be decorated beautifully for Christmas, I would think. Enjoy.

Yes!!!
Charleston is gorgeous, should be decorated for Christmas. So much history, good food, shopping, you can't go wrong. They have lots of cute B&Bs to stay in too. Don't feel like you have to do the chain hotel thing. I stayed in a B&B one time downtown that was the bottom floor of a huge mansion, fully stocked with food, it was awesome!
We will be on Kiawah Island, SC for the half-marathon I am running on Dec 8th. I will be there Dec 7-9, not sure what your dates are. You would be more than welcome to come out to Kiawah to check it out. I just love the low country of SC. Another great place is Buford, SC...very low key. Enjoy your trip, safe travels and let me know if you have any ?? that I could help or get you help with. All the best!

Once you hit Georgia, drive west, find my "favorite" (not so much) BIL, and you have my permission to whack him in the head.

Have a wonderful time exploring Tom and Karen!

Have some warm clothes....very cold and windy for this time of year here in The Villages. We don't usually see these temps until Jan. Needed jackets and jeans yesterday. Not sure how far north from us this cold snap is.

(Of course this would be really nice weather up in Mass.)

Happy wandering & exploring. :D Safe travels.

Not sure weather conditions this time of year but I've been to Charleston over the years in the steamy months of June, July & Sept for stays at B&B's. Love the southern charm of that scenic area. Travis & I walked for miles exploring, eating and drinking our way through the city. If you like beaches, I've enjoyed stays at Wild Dunes/Isle of Palms barrier island at my brother's condo years ago and Kiawah Island in a rental home three years ago. (Not Aruba beaches but nice for USA.)
