Survived my trip to my mother. It wasn’t pretty, but not as bad as I feared. Well, she is making her choices. I just kissed her and told her I love her. I do hope she snaps out of this negativity and start to see some joy in life.

Just had a nice dinner of chicken cordon blue, peas, broccoli and fries. Washed it down with two glasses of great red bourgundy wine. Will go to bed in an hour or so. Very early morning for the last busy week at work before holiday.

We each had a glass of red on the front porch with cheese and crackers, our treat for painting the garage door and side entrance door. Beautiful day about 60 degrees and sunny. I hung out vacation clothes to dry. For supper we had left overs from last night, turkey, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, tender tiny peas and gravy.

I'm having Michelob Ultra pure gold while watching the Chiefs/Patriots on one TV and Red Sox on another. Supper was a few appetizers here at the bar.. waffle fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders...shared with friends.

My sister said I should get a programmable thermostat. No thanks. easier to just set it where I want it.

Tom, did you have gravy on spaghetti?

Italians refer to sauce as gravy.

Ah ... okay that explains it. Go Sox! I'm on the fence about the Chiefs and Patriots. Oh and it's blowing sn*w outside

DW started with an Indian-style cooking sauce...added chicken thigh meat, onions, multi-colored sweet peppers and a zucchini. Served over brown rice.
There's enough for a second meal some night this week.
I had some Sauvignon Blanc.

Got home from Tennessee about 5:15 - had stopped traffic on I-26 and I-75. More and more difficult to drive from Point A to Point B these days. Had Hardee's on the way, then a Stouffer's double stuffed green peppers for supper. Now about to eat my 2nd Arby's pizza slider... yummmmm Cheers! In with Lites for some time now...
