It's Curb Give-A-Way weekend. I had 8 bags of unpainted tole wood and my bike...all gone. I went out in the shed and went through many more totes of my mother's and got 8 more garbage bags of unpainted tole wood for tomorrow. I did this last year too  I feel bad but there are many more totes of tole wood, painted and not in her storage locker. I did save some Xmas painted pieces and will display them this year, she'll notice when she is over and that will make her happy. No, not my socks froggy, just an internet pic  Great news on the check-up Sue. Cheers!

What is tole wood and do neighbors just cruise by looking for things? We have so many local organizations looking for donations of "stuff" . I usually donate the Amvets who have a thrift store nearby. In with a gin and tonic now but I'm making eggplant parm and will have some Ruffino Chianti Reserve - I sprung for $20!

For tole painting, she was very talented and her detail work is amazing. Yup, take your shit to the curb two times a year, cruise around take what you want. Everything is still in the original wrapping and marked $10, 15, $20... anyone into that I'm sure think they hit the lottery. Since I'm not into selling, works for me. I do donate from Mom's place to the Thrift Stores which support charities when she sees what I am doing and I can get her to part with something.

$20...the good stuff! Although we don't get any of those great deals you guys do. Cheap wine is $12 is here.

A splurge is always good Laura. I’m in a FB town yard sale group where some stuff is good but other stuff  There was a post with a family photo of Mom, Dad & kid in matching Christmas pajamas. I ‘m sure Dad could care less she wants them sold but wonder if he knows about the picture she used. We sold our generator in one day on the site which was great. Anyway just water tonight after over indulging last night. We are grilling burgers and will have salad too.

Oh my head!! I will have to wait till the baby goes to bed for HH. DH is in Georgia helping with the hurricane cleanup. They had to drive thru a cotton field to get to the house! I guess that sounds pretty Southern
Baby has a new style of eating, it involves one bite of oatmeal and one hug. So this Grammy is covered with delicious oatmeal lovies.

Had some red wines and some limoncello as I really needed them. My mother is really pushing it. It seems she is determined to make her final years as miserable as she can. Anyway, going to visit her tomorrow. Not looking forward to that. About to go to bed, as it is almost midnight here.

Do you think she is pushing your buttons because you are going away? Do you call her when you are away? I find Mom is better now that I call every day that I am gone.

Just cracked open a Black & Tan. This will be dinner, with a couple of tweeks. I'm using bottled clam juice & canned whole clams and frozen gnocchi instead of making my own.

I am very easily confused but this "tole" thing has my head spinning so I just poured my first JWB. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes tonight.

Pretty winery Linda...never saw those granola cups! Wow! I had a great afternoon with Tom and Karen (our Tom looks and sounds healthy :D ), Judi (wearing a t shirt and still freezing  ) and Judi's friends.
Judi's friend Terry (I think that is who it was) gave me 4 delish mangoes from her own mango tree! I stopped at Alhambra on the way home and was very very lucky! Had pinot over ice at the Trop....tonic water and lime with dinner (steak, potato and green beans). Have a good evening friends!
