Good morning, friends. Had a good night sleep. Today temperatures will be a balmy 77. Almost summer here. But after tomorrow, that is over. No complaining as I will have nice temperatures again very soon. Evert is away for a full day work. Me, I will do some laundry and sit in the sun and read. Only day off this week. Hope you all have a great Saturday.

Good morning.
Judi.....have fun at the Trop!!

Planning to get more meal prep done today. Need to made things as simple as possible during my recovery.
I am not worried about the surgery itself, I am petrified of the recovery. Went for my pre-admission testing yesterday. The nurse went over all the paperwork with me. The doctor has 4 hours of O.R. time reserved for me......repair interior/exterior labrum, possible rotator cuff tear and something to due with the muscle. She said, it's like four surgeries in one....hence the anxiety about the recovery. I hate to take strong pills. My past surgeries I was fine with just Tylenol with codeine. The nurse said, there is noway I'll get by with just that. I can't be flat out on pills......I worry if something happens to Mario and I can't help him. My sister suggested cannabis oil w/o THC. Thoughts??

Have a great day!!

Unbelievably, it's under 70-degrees this morning (67 F)
Probably the first time in about 4 months.
Have a good one, amigos.

Good morning! We watched the Brewers beat the Dodgers last night and then I went to bed. For some reason, I woke up way early--wide awake. It will be naptime shortly. Maybe when I wake up, it will be warmer and I can figure out what I'm doing today. I know I am bringing in the last of the tomatoes and some potted herbs--supposed to freeze/rain/sn*w tomorrow. The cabbage and cauliflower should still be okay for awhile longer. I have several orange bell peppers I need to do something with too.

I hope everyone has a good visit at the Trop!

MLL, I did some googling to see if CBD oil is just a fad and read mixed reviews. I say try it...it can't hurt, right? The FDA has a list of companies they warned about selling it with less CBD in it than they claimed...

Good Morning....dark and gloomy here! Poured rain last night...I mean really poured! Marylou....can you arrange for a homemaker for a few hours a day for the first few days after surgery? That would give you peace of mind. My SIL just had the surgery...more needed to be done once they 'got in'. She said the first 4 days were the hardest and then Tylenol, etc worked. Keeping you in my prayers. Like Judi I am headed to the Trop ....I will have lunch...not sure about the others  Have a good day friends! :D

Brrr...cold and rainy here this morning. 66 in the house - may have to fire up the burner soon. ML wishing you the best of luck with your surgery and take the recovery one day at a time. We'll be here for moral support.

Good morning!!! 48°F outside...66 inside!!! No heat on yet either. Laundry is on the morning agenda. I may vent the dryer inside the basement for a few minutes at the end of the cycle to capture some of the residual heat after most of the moisture is gone. The weather forecasters are warning baseball fans to be prepared for temps in the 40'sF tonight. I'll be nice and cozy in the house even without the heat turned on. Have fun at the Trop today. We'll be there soon!!!
Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Sorry you have to go through this; you need to focus on several months down the road when you'll be happy you feel so good and glad you did it when you did. Like Laura said, we're here for you. Good luck, you got this!!! Maybe breakfast with Eric will take your mind off your pain
