Holiday Hot, Hot, Hot Happy Hour...I know froggy's in, Cheers! So my nephew is 40 not 32 and my 48yo niece was there...now I know how my mother feels  I'm sure the 'kids' get a kick out of the adult version memories of their childhood during our 'hay' day.

I’m sure you’ll always be the cool Aunt Karen. Aunts get a pass about childhood memories and stuff.

Not sure what got into me but decided to make a Diet Coke with two shots of Bushmills to hang in/by the pool. Cheers all!

Wow, Linda joining in HH. I'm glad you had a good time Karen. I'm in the A/C with some red wine - D/O sausage, peppers, onions and garlic bread for dinner tonight.

LOL, I've had enough of Florida weather. Cept, I live here. Baby found my computer cord and put it in his mouth......cried for a minute and seems fine. No lasting effects! I stuck it in my own mouth and it took a few times before I got "bit". It was like a 9 volt battery. We will move our cords and watch him more carefully.
DH had red wine and I had Wild Cherry White Claw seltzer. Time for a quick nap till 7pm.

Yes I am in Karen. We were out on the boat most of the day. Came in went to the fish market and got two 3 pound lobsters and a 2 pound lobster for Nancy. Lobster is the birthday dinner of choice for me. Of course I cook the while I am getting cooked. Spiked seltzer water out on the boat, scotch when I get in and with dinner now the Schrobbeler for an after dinner drink.
Enjoy the night all.

Good evening. We enjoyed a nice dinner w/ Matthew (few and far between). I took a few steaks out of the freezer for Mike to grill (2 filets from Omaha and 2 thin rib eyes from a previous dinner that we didn't need to cook then). Had them w/ a chopped SW salad (kit) and potatoes au gratin (also from Omaha Steaks - I'm becoming a fan).

Hoping for a walk or a boat ride in a little while.

I finished the bubbly I opened yesterday. Good thinking Maryanne...trying it yourself and now is the time to move all the cords and cover the outlets! Froggy your birthday dinner sounds yummy! Karen  ....thought today's holiday was only in Ontario....guess my distracted sister was wrong  Have a good evening friends!

The dashboard temp in my car read 107...after baking for 4 hours.
(Actual temp was probably 87, but it said the 'feels like' was 109.)

"On the wagon" so far today, but I may indulge in a sole glass of red wine just before bedtime.
Had leftover fried fish from yesterday's restaurant meal. It was accompanied by some Swiss chard from the freezer.

Can't tell you how many times I've been zapped by scat mats at the cat house.

Cheers! Elaine and I went to the new Mission Impossible and then 5:00 supper at Shucker's Oyster House. The movie was good, but too long for me (2:28), had to take a bathroom break with about 45 minutes to go. My hearing aids are not back from reconditioning yet, so I missed most of the dialogue. Vanessa Kirby, the "White Widow" is a real hottie!!! She was born 41 years to the day after I was. Yikes. I'd love to see more of her..... Anyways.... on to Shucker's. I had a Corona/lime to start my HH at 5:00 somewhere. Also had a basket of fried pickles (world's best) with VooDoo sauce, and a dozen oysters on the half shell, topped with crabmeat, melted shredded white & yellow cheese and a jalapeño slice. I add horseradish sauce and Louisiana hot sauce. Yummyyyy

I am continuing my HH with the required Lites. :D
