Linda, I lived in Pawtucket until I was 9 and went to James C Potter Elem School next to a certain toy company. Moved to Johnston when I was 9, but attended high school back in Pawt at St Raphael Academy near McCoy Stadium. FIL just sold his house in Taunton, SIL just moved from E Taunton to farmhouse on 8 acres in Rehoboth. Very small world, huh?

MLL I'd love to! Although I used to get the cowlick cone... pistachio ice cream in a waffle cone, dipped in hot chocolate sauce then rolled in walnuts. OMG I'm so full just thinking about it!

Best damn toy company ever! :D :D :D

I remember HoJo's well. My family and I would drive from Virginia to somewhere in Florida every summer. Always stopped at HoJo's for lunch or dinner along the way. Loved their peach ice cream and their chicken pot pie.

Thank you for sharing! Such great childhood memories! We RARELY ate out as kids, but when we did....it was at Howard Johnson's. We had one near our town of Wayne, NJ. My sister would get the fried clams, I would get the hot dog, not sure what the rest of the family would get. Best ice cream too! I can picture it like yesterday....or 40+ years ago
Thanks for putting a huge smile on my face!
