It's another awesome summer day and Buddy and I are out on the deck under the umbrella (with my tunes Ronnie  ), sounds like all the neighbours are away, I could belt out a few tunes if I feel so inclined  Cheers! I've got ribs on a slow bake in the oven with a bbq spice dry rub and will finish off on the bbq with a Tequilla and Habenaro sauce. Mustard vinaigrette coleslaw to go with.

We are having meatloaf, fresh green beans, and corn on the cob, too early for our local corn. I got corn today at Wegmans, hope it is good. Grandson Josh is coming over for supper. Don't worry I have fruit too~
Hope we hear from Shaggy, I'll be hoisting a glass of red in his honor

Sitting on my porch enjoying a glass of Minute Maid Lite Lemonade with a fresh lemon slice. It's a gorgeous sunny, 84° afternoon. Finished my main meal for the day of oven bbq ribs and side of steamed broccoli. Planning to have Fage plain yogurt and cherries tonight.

We had a great and fun family lunch for my mothers birthday. So my dinner was just some nuts and cheese. It took 3 hours to get home because of a fire near the railroad I need to pass. Had to take a detour. Evert is doing better and might try to drive tomorrow.

After a relaxing day of doing nothing it looks like I need to get out of my lounge chair and go in and make dinner. I hear kenny asking bear if he’s hungry so I have a feeling that “are we eating today” is coming soon  Maybe some pasta and a salad. That’s easy

Cheers
Cooked meatballs on the grill in a packet , used jat sauce for me

Grilled chicken, sausage, peppers and onions, and burgers for the week
Spent the afternoon relaxing on the deck reading, watching the dragon flies playing and the turkeys dusting themselves off in the dirt where his firepit was
First time this summer I actually relaxed and enjoyed, sad but true

Having a vodka tonic. We arrived in Wisconsin around 1:30spent the afternoon with George’s oldest sister who is 95! We had pizza. A round pizza cut up in squares  In NY we take out pizza in a box. Here it was on a round piece of cardboard and placed in a bag. Sorry I didn’t take a picture.

We had some leftover chicken (from skewers uneaten on Independence Day).
Sandy plunked them into some Indian sauce from the market.
Warmed, some frozen peas added, served over brown rice.
I didn't understand that they might be spicy, so I added some black pepper and garlic pepper from a bottle. Good, but did not get beyond my tolerance level. Yummy!

Leftover steak and potatoes for him, with a side salad. A big salad for me with bacon bits and leftover chunks of cheese compliments of Jet Blue. Pinot for me, ice tea for him....glad there is ice cream in the freezer...that is next!
