Cheers, swamp, I am sipping a pinot grigio on the porch. We were at the beach until 4.15 pm when I couldn’t stand the strong wind anymore. It sure is much more wind than in May. A friend told us they don’t rent out beds at the AMBR anymore. We couldn’t believe it, but alas, it is true. We ran into our regurlar beach attendant, and he told us that with the new general manager things are more tight and he is not allowed to rent beds. That stinks in my opinion. But we went next door at the watersport guys and rented two beds for $ 20, which is $ 10 cheaper than at the AMBR. Together with them cutting the HH at the beach bar, I feel AMBR is not doing a good job. I know that from now on, I take my business to other places.

I am coming down with a mild cold. I guess it is the airconditioning. I am not used to it, and the airco is blowing right in my face when I am in bed. So I am on my cocktail of wine and paracetamol.

We were thinking of going out for dinner at Fermin’s, but since I am not feeling my best, we will grill some saucages on the BBQ and eat the veggies that were left over from yesterday. Cheers!

Sitting on the deck in the trees with a glass of red wine. Donovers tonight. Eggplant rollotini with pasta for me. Not sure what George is having - either left over ribs or a fresh burger on the grill. Cheers.

Ingrid, it is not a good time to get a cold!! If the air is blowing on your face, sleep upside down.
We had turkey loaf and carrots for dinner. DH is drinking red wine and I have spiked bubbly water. Trying sooooo very hard to loose 5 more pounds. There is a bottle of Grey Goose in the freezer that may need to be opened.....
Our grandson is really growing up quickly. He is 6 months old and is learning how to sit up, crawl and stand all at the same time. This Grammy is tired at the end of the day, covered with spit, formula and could not be happier.
Life is good.....oh, so good.

I bought a rack of ribs(made at the store) this afternoon. Bacon mac & cheese, collard greens and deviled egg pot salad to go with it. Strawberry shortcake for dessert. The store I went to makes their own shortcake biscuits. I have some strawberries and sugar in a bowl. Should be nice and juicy by the time I eat them later.

Had an awesome afternoon with terry. I haven’t seen her since March!

Drank, laughed, drank, rode in the new swamp taxi, drank some more!

Watching the sox

To quote Maryanne, life is wicked good

Salute!

Oh, Ingrid, it is always windy this time of year. And hazy. The Sahara sands are coming this way. Buckle up

went to the boardwalk this afternoon and it was just beautiful. the threat of rain kept the daytrippers away so there was no traffic or crowds. they had a arts & crafts show on the boards so what do we buy, rum cakes! guy and his wife are from NY but she's from the bahamas, we got a chocolate rum and banana rum cake, so yummy

stopped at our regular bar for a few drinks and a slice. kenny got 3/4 of a drink down, no worries, I picked up the slack.

just water now, congrats to justify. they just showed gronk cheering on his horse, so funny.

Lindaspooky ---which boardwalk? I lived in NJ for about 3 years and it was a part of my previous family for about 18 years. I've been to Point Pleasant and Atlantic City.
