Bring extra supply of meds
Bring extra supply of cash
Get trip interruption insurance
We have trip medical never take interruption insurance
Don't trust airlines to do the right thing they are sleazy ( in this case JB )
Track flights days in advance and call airlines at first hint of cancellations

JB said we should have called them to arrange alternate flights or done so through manage my flights both of which were down.
I can see the Barracuda spending hours on the phone with JB and JB credit card.

sorry for your experience Tom. I trust Karen will get it solved. Check your travel insurance . Most purchased through airline cover trip interruption and also check credit card used to book trip. Mine covers interruption. Just got to my gate and can hear them calling the JB to Boston flight for boarding ! I am on SW....one stop and then to MHT. Safe travels!

The barracuda......

I always bring an extra week of pills with me.
I purchase travel insurance thru Insuremytrip.com. Includes medical, trip interruption, baggage loss, etc.

I always bring a couple days extra medicine. At least if staying stateside CVS will help out but international is more work I'm sure. I thought I read the JB card gave some trip interruption coverage when booked using that card so curious what you find out.

sorry you have to deal with all that. like the others said, check the insurance, if the airline doesnt cover it your credit card may. I always make sure im covered for a couple of extra days whether im traveling for work or vaca.

So sorry for your troubles Tom and Karen.

I am definitely OCD with medications....no matter the length of the trip we take an extra week's worth. Since most of our travel is foreign there would be definite issues if we ran out of meds.

Our cash USUALLY lasts and we have leftover to bring home most of the time. However, we each bring 2 different credit cards even though we have the travel insurance for "just in case" which we have never needed to use.

Thanks for the reminder though....important info.

BTW my money is on the cuda
We had enough of everything thank goodness, we were thinking of those who may not and how screwed they would be without meds, cash etc.

The Cuda just got off the phone with JB she is satisfied with outcome and actually got some perks for our next trip so she's a happy Cuda. Next on her agenda is Master card she's looking for roughly $1400 from them.
Again my money is on the Cuda.
