Good morning, our morning started early about 3:30am to the sound of the furnace struggling to start, John went down & checked it to find the blower motor was done! Called the furnace guy & he was at our house by 4am & had us back up & running in no time, I thanked him for coming so quickly & he replied "you call, I come" Now that's what I like about using a small local company, plus he didn't charge an outrageous off hours call out fee. I think we will have to send him some cookies :D

Driving into work today started with rain/freezing rain & has now turned to the white stuff 1-3" expected before days end. Then it will warm up as the week goes on so will be gone quickly.

I enjoyed not having to study this past weekend & got to do some reading for fun, Julia Child's My life in France.

Have a great Monday.

Good Morning!!! The sun in shining and temps are already up to high 20'sF!!! There will be some melting today for sure!!! I called our oil dealer this morning to schedule a delivery of heating oil. He said he can get to us Friday  . They have been crazy busy for the past week with people running out of oil during the severe cold and blizzard. We still have 1/4 tank left so we are not in any kind of emergency situation. The gauge did drop rapidly last week with the extended cold snap so better safe than sorry.
Thoughts and prayers for those in need.
Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Good Morning!
Kids go back to school, woo hoo!.....Oh wait....NO THEY DON'T! Check this out:
Image
There is no precipitation, no ice, it is above freezing...Can you believe this????
Image
Everyone is dying over this.....if we have to make up this day, there will be heads rolling. But we are all laughing that we got a day off for football, a lot of people blasting Trump, that he is causing this (I am not making a political statement at all) I guess he is attending the game and his motorcade would really mess up the afternoon busses??????
Strangest thing I can remember happening to get a day off of school....our first day back at that! They have been off for 17 days.
So, my list of things to day changed! hanging with the kids and trying to work a little!
have a great day!

Good Morning!
It is sn*wing, temps is at 30 degrees :) , better than rain.
Wow Carolina, that IS the most craziest reason to have school off, I am sure the kids love it~
Larry is out getting a hair cut. I am doing laundry and house cleaning.
Shaggy, hoping all your hard work with PT and speech are rewarding today.

Have nice one ALL~

Hey Carolina - I know it's crazy - we are closed here too, although Matthew is taking all college classes this semester, and his don't start til Wednesday anyway (which I didn't realize until last night!). Nor did I know that Trump was coming to ATL for the football game though. Here's what I don't get though. How in the world would his motorcade affect traffic in your area for the downtown game? Weird!

Good morning. Here too, all schools are closed for the "threat" of freezing rain and icy roads. It's 38° right now.....

Good Early Afternoon. Last remnant of Xmas is now stowed away. Happy 68° here and gonna get better.
When I lived in North & South Carolina I recall terrific ice storms as opposed to snow. Hope all have a safe and
enjoyable day!

Donna, I live in Fulton County, at the very North end of Fulton County, less than 3 miles from Forsyth line. Our county has tried for years to be divided in 2, North and South, but from what I understand "North" funds the "South":

Oh Wow! I had no clue Fulton ran so far north and south. That makes sense.

You can see exactly where it needs to split...the tiny neck less than a mile wide just below Sandy Springs....but then North Fulton would be Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Milton :D :D :D :D I see no problem with that, but the peeps living below the "neck" at Sandy Springs see a HUGE $$$$$$ problem with it.

Gerrymandering at it's finest. An embarrassment.
