I had the displeasure of going to get my new plate today

Buds are flowing

Drove down to baby beach and on the way back saw some donkeys and of course dr. Doolittle had to stop and feed them

Learned today that miss Lucy has type 1 diabetes :(

This is a life changer. She at Boston general right now.

Anyway... cheers

If anyone wants any of our old plates, let me know.

Froggy & pammy good news. Ronnie, sorry about your friend

I'm so sorry to read this about Lucy. :( It is a life changer and a total shock to hear those words about your child.

I can tell you that Alyssa has been able to manage her type 1 diabetes pretty well with diet and exercise and testing her sugar often, using insulin as needed, seeing an endocrinologist regularly, and exercise. She *mostly* eats an organic, vegan diet. Sometimes I don't even recognize my junk food loving kid, but I'm very proud of how she's managed all of this, only finding out three years ago that she has type 1 diabetes.

Lucy is young and I promise you that she'll adapt to her new normal long before her loved ones do. I wish her the very best going forward, and will say a prayer for her and her parents and loved ones as they help guide her through this.

Sorry to hear about little Lucy's diagnosis Judi. Hi Dr. Dolittle. I'm in with a glass of red wine.

Judi, so sorry to hear about Lucy's diagnosis. Praying she will be able to quickly adapt to her "new normal". Praying for Lucy and her parents as they transition. Glad she was diagnosed before a dangerous episode took place. Sending hugs!

Judi, startling news about Lucy. I am so glad Linda had a chance to respond. Glenn's cousin's granddaughter was diagnosed when she was about 9....all is going well. A challenge at first but Ken says it seems 'normal' now. Remember...there is much research going on and treatments will continue to improve. In with water tonight (wine with lunch,, beach was wonderful and the sunset was close to perfect...yup, an 8 hour beach day beats an 8 hour work day  )

Wish you could see this (not really), but I am doing the happy happy Joy Joy dance. Loving my Bose that Ronnie sent. Music is the most important thing in the world and the sound that comes out of this system is amazing. Thank you so much, Ronnie Claus! I will enjoy this every day for ever!
Did I tell you that life is good? WAHOO!!! It sure is.

So I just typed out a reply and don't know where it went!

I'm drinking Beachcombers, Tommy's drinking Sam Cold Snaps and Levi is eating a fake (veggie) rawhide! I'm totally loving the donkey pictures. I'd so love to see them walking around here. I saw a woman walking around in the woods across the street a few years ago and went over to see if she needed help. She told me she was looking for her cow! It was a baby that she had just adopted and it opened the gate in her yard. She did end up finding her.

Judi, I'm sorry to hear of beautiful little Lucy's diagnosis. It's always so hard to hear about things happening to children. I'm no health professional, and we don't have kids, but I would think being diagnosed at a younger age would be easier than if she were older. Her diet and lifestyle will be her normal. Also with the advances in medicine daily, she'll be able to manage this with her parents and doctors.

I'd love one of your plates if you have an extra. We'll be there in about 7-8 weeks. I'll pay you in mint M&Ms!!! Isn't your birthday around that time?

Judi so sorry to hear of Lucy's diagnosis. Anytime I read or hear of any child diagnosed with a disease I cry and always ask why, they are so innocent. Hopefully all adjust and move on in comfort.
Went to a Thai restaurant with friends whom we are staying with when we first arrive in Aruba. Food was awesome as usual and it was their first time and they loved it as well. Then we came back here for a few Schrobbler's warmed up with whipped cream and chocolate cake for our friends bday.
JWB right now for the follow up.
Goodnight nurse.

Cheers. We had our physicals today and both got our Birth Certificates renewed for another 6 months. Celebrated by dining at a REAL Italian restaurant, Olive Garden  And now I'm in with my usual Lites.

Just got back to room after dinner. Wanted to go into long beach for dinner but my boss wanted to eat on ship

Thought i could ditch the office idiot tomororw but didnt happen. My plans were to get up early see Lobg beach, drivr to malibu and work my way back down to LA stopping at santa monica pier and ending up in manhattan beach seeing kennys great niece before heading to LAX. Now im stuck with her, she wants to do a ship tour at 11 and i have to drop her at long beach airport at 5. Effs up my plans.

Oh and my sister wants me to find dallas playoff shirts since they are playing here tomorow. Sure why not.....
