Mega gazillions. It's an amount I can't wrap my head around.

What would you do with all of that money? All I can think of is the good that could be done with it. Someone can't afford their medications, you buy for them. Veterans need something, you take care of it for them. The homeless in your community would have what they need. You could pay all of the lunch accounts in your town/city for kids whose parents can't afford or have fallen behind. Teachers need equipment for the classrooms, you could take care of it for them. The possibilities are endless.

I'm not saying I wouldn't try to track down the owner of the house we stayed in on our last vacation and try to buy it from them, but wow the thoughts on what you could do to help others is endless.

So what would you do/buy if you won?

All legit things to do Linda, after I get a 2019 Corvette  Next buy a house on the water in @ruba. Pay for a big party on our Island all expenses paid, say like rent out Amsterdam manor for a month or any other hotel. :D

Significantly increase contributions to my favorite charities (Reading Recovery Council of North America, Veterans groups, Leukemia research, NH Public Radio, Activities Fund for Seniors and local scholarships).
Extended family of course....grateful to already be in my happy place but likely would treat myself to flying Mint on Jet Blue even when the price is high  (have snagged some low prices and really like flying Mint). Dreaming is fun! :D

I've been thrifty all of my life and saving saving saving so it's hard to imagine becoming a big spender overnight Some new properties - one on the water on Long Island and a one on the water someplace warm. Hire people instead of doing all the work we now do  Lot's of money to the cat house.

I'd buy several Senators and Congressmen.

Ann, private jets don't make me nervous. No way!

Firstly, I'd purchase a Cessna Citation X jet, get an additional type rating to self fly with a rated friend or hire a typed co-pilot for
A*uba trips. Tampa to AUA (1,337 mi ) direct in less than 2 hrs with 8 passengers. Not bad. After taking care of some other stuff
I'd be as charitable and caring as everyone else here.

Agree! Here is the Lear 23 I used to fly around in every couple weeks in the late 1970's, just after we landed in Omaha. I think it was serial #13..... lol What fun! Higher and faster than the airlines, our co-pilot was a former carrier pilot, they'd had the plane up over 50k feet and inverted flight too. One time on a trip to Philly I think it was, for "fun" we lined up and began an approach to a mothballed aircraft carrier.

Im with you Laura, im so used to being thrifty for myself i think it would be hard to change but it would be fun to try! my family would be set for the rest of their lives (except for the ones who look for a handout  ). many charities would also benefit.

My splurge would be a couple of condos in various places, nothing too extravagant, just comfortable with people to do all the work :D . maybe a full time chef but i wouldn't want to deprive kenny of his blackened meals

Education for our grandchildren, pay off our children’s mortgages, setup trust funds, purchase a modest winter home.
