Dining early. Had late breakfast and no lunch. Using up some freezer foods. Having a Smart Ones Homestyle Beef Pot Roast with side of Steamfresh Peas and a glass of plain seltzer.

Ladydb, I love your style!!! Keep that island vibe going as long as possible.
I made fish for DH and done over burger for me with broccoli and cheese tots. I am really enjoying the White Claw Black Cherry more than Pinot Grigio these days.......who would have thought that to be possible?
We had surprise overnight guests last evening due to a power outage in their area. The kids were in the dark and brought our grandson over and spent the night. First sleepover!!! It was great to wake up and have him here. He is one cute little man!

I just made zucchini lasagna boats for David. I'm having the leftover turkey meat sauce over sauteed garlic spinach.

We’re going to Red Lobster tonight. Probably a brew and shrimp or scallops.

Smoking beef ribs on the grill, while I mow and trim, side will be sweet corn and maybe a salad.

Grilled some burgers. Had chips on the side.
I need to get out of this lazy rut I’ve been in.

MJ’s the chain that took over one of our local bars opened on tues. official opening is not til tomorrow but we thought we’d check it out. It’s about 7 minutes from our house on the water. The cove was a very local neighborhood bar with an outside eating area, tiki bar, stage, beach with horseshoes and corn hole, just a super casual place. HH drinks were $3.50 reg price was $4. Food prices in line with locals.

Well MJs is not the cove. They still have he outside, no horseshoes or cornhole. HH is only at the inside bar from 4-7 half pice appys only till 6. Drinks are $1 off so $5. Who wants to be inside in the summer????

Food was ok nothing to write home about. I had spicy shrimp and kenny had calamari. Bill for 3 drinks and 2 appys was 47.50. They forgot to change price. Brought check back and they forgot to discount drinks. Finally got it straight and it came to $30. Not bad for HH but locals are never gonna go for full price.

Place was packed and it could be people just being curious. Will have to see how it goes. Time will tell especially after the summer when the tourists are gone.

We had leftovers from last night, sausage, pepper/onion sandwiches, I didn't have the roll, ice water to drink.

Trizzed in southern Maine, Karen had salad, steak, baked potato. I had cottage cheese with pear, carrots, seafood pot pie (lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops).

Surprisingly the hotel conference food has been very good. Tonight’s meal was shrimp and grits (not me), barbecued roast pork tenderloin, fried chicken and various sides and desserts. The fried chicken was amazing! I had a couple of glasses of cabernet with dinner and brought another back to the room to relax. I miss Mike and will be happy to be home by dinner time tomorrow.

Cheers! Starting with a Yee Haw dunkle. Monday evening, after we got home from our weekend trip, I noticed a quarter of one of my "chewing side" teeth gone.... so I'm being very careful. The dentist will see it Monday afternoon, but it certainly cramps my eating style. Had a couple White Castle jalapeno sliders for lunch, and a Arby's pizza slider for supper. Many cherry tomatoes along the way, some cottage cheese too.
