I've always been a dell user. My 2003 desktop is finally biting the dust. I have two dell 2 in 1's that I love. I can get a 3rd, Inspiron 11" 3000- 4 GB memory 1TBHD for $399 but I found a Lenovo Flex 4 I5-7200U 14" 8 GB 1TBHD for $416. (clearance at BJs)

Its a little bigger and heavier for traveling but it would mainly stay at home. Reviews are good but would prefer to hear from anyone that has used Lenovo

Used a Lenovo laptop for work for years until about 3 years ago when they switched us to Dell. I have a Dell desktop at home that I love. Lenovo was fine (no complaints) but for some reason I prefer Dell. My Dell laptop is lighter than the Lenovo so it's better/easier for travel.

I've never even heard of Lenovo, but Mike is in IT and he always recommends/buys Dell.

They were part of IBM (IBM ThinkPads) until they were sold to a company in China.

I've been using one for work about a year now. I'm thinking of getting the same one so I don't have to lug mine back and forth. I thought I was getting a PC for the office and laptop for outside use. Ended up with laptop only and two docking stations instead. Anyway, no problems with the laptop.

I can’t believe that you’ve had your computer since 2003

I've had several Dell desktops, laptops, tablets, and laser printers. Never a problem, always been happy. Chances are Dell will be the first place I shop when I need something new.

I refuse to consider any Apple product until I am assured Steve Jobs will personally hand it to me.

That's what I was thinking  My desktop is almost 10 years old and slow as a snail, I can only imagine a 2003 model, was it really slow Linda?

yes it is very slow but the programs work fine. the cd drawer constantly opens and closes and if i shut it down it cant find the hard drive to boot so i have to play around with the boot sequence, the mother board is definately going. i have my work laptop but i don't like to have any personal stuff on it.

Kenny mostly uses the other laptop but with his omputer skills i need a secondary "safe" one

I've already transferred everything thing I need out of it so just looking for the best deal.

We eliminated all Lenovo's at work, and I believe that this was an across the board demand from the government with all defense contractors.

There is the worry that the Chinese government, which now owns Lenovo, could have a built in back door to hack the computers.

I guess that would be something to think about.
