Yesterday we flew back on United to Newark.
Got to the airport about 2 1/2 hours before the flight. Airport like Aruba in general was like 1/2 of what it usually was.full. After United counter checkin usual outside to first check point. In to Aruba agent, down the ramp to carry on/personal scanning. Through Duty Free, pick up luggage, US immigration, drop off on the conveyer belt, next check point, final scanning and up the escalator to your gates.
Nothing new or unusual. Took maybe 1/2 hour.
Most of the upstair small Duty Frees are closed as were any vending machines.
Plane was 1/2 full.
One thing I noticed is that with the planes being so empty they board, take and arrive sooner. We arrived in Aruba 45 minutes earlier and same coming home.
