Unfortunately, there are two more deaths related to Covid to report since yesterday. The total number of fatalities now stands at 34.

There were 15 new positive cases diagnosed since yesterday's numbers were released, and 36 people marked as "recovered", so there are now 287 active cases.

235 people were tested, 96 residents and 139 visitors at the airport.

At the hospital, there is now no one in the ICU (a decrease of 1 since yesterday), and just 5 patients in the "Covid ward" (down 1 from yesterday).

Here in New York and in most of the country they know and can isolate the hot spots. Sure Aruba knows where their hot spots are. Is that shared with the public.

Not as far as I know, no. There are rumors and gossip about big parties, but officially the bars and nightclubs - the usual hot spots - are still closed.

Just drove through town. At least 50 cars at Certified. My guess is there is a service at the ‘church’ there. Unless the venue is at least the size of Casa de Cultura it is impossible to social distance. Parking lot across from Talk of the Town is jammed. No masks no social distancing. It is impossible for authorities to miss these two violations. No enforcement!

The Arubian government has asked that anyone who observes businesses breaking the protocol to report them using the email address:

Cumpli@crisis.aw

This is for _anyone_ to use, local or visitor. So if you see these clear (or suspected) violations, you can call them out...

Thanks Bryanzs....I have it and use it. Let's be honest....at least one police car (usually carrying 3 officers) must have driven by Talk or the Town last night before 9. (this is a weekly event so common sense says put coverage there)

That area has always been the place the young people hang out. It's not the cops in the patrol car. It's the bosses telling them to stand down.

Send an email? Sure that will get quick response in usual “Aruba Time”. By the time they respond the pandemic will be over.
