Maybe he’s a New Yorker who believes since he leaves from NJ he doesn’t have to quarantine when he gets back as he will not be arriving back in NY.

Have you ever noticed that those in power make "rules for thee but not for me"? Cuomo has already been caught once violating this very mandate:

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy ... lined-self

If I were returning to NY after an Aruba visit I would self-quarantine for 2-3 days to see if I developed any symptoms. Then I would go about my business. Furthermore there is very good news about US fatality rates for covid from the CDC:

Infection Fatality Ratio Percentage:

0-19 years: 0.00002
20-49 years: 0.00007
50-69 years: 0.0025
70+ years: 0.028
20-49 years: 0.0003
50-69 years: 0.010
70+ years: 0.093

To express this positively most people have better than 99.99 percent chance of surviving. Quarantines in this situation are ridiculous.

Whatever they decide to do, NY, NJ & CT should get on the same page.

This is the only number that matters - 207,147 US Citizens have died from COVID (over one million world wide).

We need to be realistic about covid. The number of people who have died is only one part of this assessment. We absolutely need to know what our chances of dying are, if we get covid. The numbers that I cited show that very few people die due to covid. The elderly who have an underlying condition are most at risk. We can't simply cite the number who have died. We must assist the risk, as we do for every action we take.

Realistic is understanding how contagious this virus is. Realistic is understanding how quickly the virus spreads. Today's example, it is now 13 members of the NFL's Tennessee Titans have tested positive this week. Thirteen out of less than 100.Thirten will not be the final number. What percentage is acceptable to you?

If the world had not shut down, the number of deaths would be many multiples of what it is today. Covid is exploding around the world again. If we have to take a step back to stop it, than that is what we must do.
