Looks like we are cancelling our 2 weeks Jan/Feb. I'm curious what most of you are doing?
Trying to rent it?
Depositing it in Interval International?
Marriott owners, are you looking for Bonvoy Points through Marriott or requesting cash to allow them to rent it.
Trying to make a decision.
Thanks for the advise and stay safe and healthy.

We were given the opportunity to "move" our Divi Links February/March 2021 weeks to November 2021, and that's what we've opted to do. Divi Owners are allowed to move weeks within the same calendar year. There are some limitations but few for Platinum Week Owners.

I have my flight and car rental organized for weeks 1 and 2 2021.

Just not sure how I'll deal with the PCR test in advance (unlikely I qualify for that speed of turnaround on the test if I'm asymptomatic and haven't contact-traced to anyone nor in frontline exposure position). Frankly, the testing protocol made sense when Aruba was trying to protect itself from Covid-19. But, now? It's nonsensical. Higher risk that I'll contract Covid on the island than bring it TO the island. The excess cost of Covid-19 specific insurance is unfortunate because my air carrier provides as good a policy free of charge to anyone booking a return flight, and my regular "out of country" insurance covers all the rest.

No one is interested in coming with me so it will be a solo trip if it happens.

I do feel that our happy island needs us and that, once I get to my timeshare, I can keep myself as safe there as I do at home. I've been vigilant about mask use and sanitizing and would continue to do all of these, muscle memory being what it is at this point.

The 14 days quarantine on return home is unappealing, but do-able.

We could not go. Weeks were not used. They are fixed weeks.
That is tragic in terms of the economy of the island.
Not sure about next year (September).

Fixed week owner here but LaCabana set up a program with owners to try and reassign weeks that were lost during their shutdown. Working with limited availability, my schedule, how soon I want to travel again and Air Canada’s schedule, it took awhile to secure a replacement for the two weeks that I lost in April but now I will get to see what Dec is like in Aruba next year.

Don’t know anything about Marriott timeshare but find Marriott Bonvoy easy to work with for my hotel rentals and refund during my April trip cancellation for overnights in Toronto.

In your case I might put a little effort into renting Before depositing with II if you can easily take extra weeks vacation next year. Remember the cutoff for late deposit when your Future exchanges will become restricted within the late deposit guidelines.

We cancelled our Surf and Ocean club weeks and turned them into destination points.

The Divi Phoenix Facebook page is full of people trying to rent out their weeks and sure the other timeshares are as well.

What I find sad is how many people are saying they do not plan to return to Aruba until 2022.

My timeshare's Facebook group pages are absolutely filled with people trying to rent out their weeks. I don't think I could get much for mine if I even bothered to try.

My decision will come down to use it or lose it.

Your timeshare is not offering options for future use.
