Sad to report that there has been another Covid related death, bringing the total number to 23.

There were 54 new positive cases (53 locals and 1 visitor) diagnosed since yesterday's numbers were released, while 66 people have been added to the "recovered" list. There are now a total of 1,617 active cases.

There were 349 people tested since yesterday, 280 residents and 69 people at the airport.

At the hospital, there are 11 people in the ICU and 26 now in the "Covid ward", for a total of 37.

In other news, the Prime Minister has announced that tomorrow, Friday, the government will detail some additional steps they plan to take to try and bring the numbers under control. So far, they have announced that face masks will be required in workplaces, but I don't know if they gave any more information than that. They floated a few ideas of what they may change, but emphasized that these will be designed to impact _locals_, and not visitors, so you needn't worry about (for example) not being able to get alcohol on the weekend if an "alcohol ban" is announced - if you're a tourist, you should still be fine.

Again, to reiterate, nothing concrete is known about what these extra steps will be, so there's no need to speculate - we'll find out more tomorrow.

Stay safe...
