What is 'Aruba Global Entry'?
Is it different from TSA Pre-Check?
Where does a potential traveler to Aruba acquire this Global Entry?
Are there forms to be filled out? Where are these forms available?
Does one need photographs?
I've read about 'interviews' involved to get this Aruba Global Entry. Where does one go to be interviewed?
Whoever issues the Aruba Global Entry, do they announce the benefits of getting this?
Whoever issues the Aruba Global Entry, do they announce the requirements of getting this?
Are they currently accepting applicants to sign up?
What is the expected wait time to acquire this Global Entry after applying?
Will it be helpful when departing the U.S. going to Aruba?
Will it be helpful when departing Aruba going back to the U.S.

I've Googled this Global Entry and all that seems to be available in there are months old statements from travelers and ('pop-up' frenzied') Trip Advisor telling about their good (and not so good) experiences with it.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

If there is one wouldn’t it just be to Arubans?
Only US citizens can get America’s Global Entry.

The only thing I can think that this is referring to is the fact that you can use (US) global entry when departing Aruba. There is also the possibility that this is talking about getting your (US) global entry interview in Aruba; Global Entry offers something called "interview on arrival" (or something like that), whereby if you are pending an interview for your global entry approval, you can ask to be seen when arriving at an airport that offers this service. It's very useful if you can't get a regular appointment (and since Global Entry appointments are backed up for many months, it may be the ONLY way to get an appointment anytime in the near future). When you go through US customs and immigration at the Aruba Airport, you can ask the Customs and Border Patrol agent that is clearing you for entry to the US to set you up with a global entry interview on arrival; you'll have to wait for a few minutes, most likely, but then the process is fairly quick.

As far as I know, there is nothing else that might be known as "Aruba Global Entry". If you have any further context, I'd be happy to look into it, but I think it must be one of those issues referred to above.

Several friends were applying for TSA pre-check and when I went to check it out I came across the Global Entry process which included the TSA precheck. At the time it was $85 for the TSA precheck and the Global was $100. Since we go to Aruba several times a year and also cruise often (some cruise terminals accept it) it was worth the extra $15.

For us, as indicated above you submit your application online and the fee.

Once accepted you are notified by e-mail and you get to select a day and time for an appointment to be interviewed, fingerprinted etc.

Once approved, you are assigned what is called a "known traveler #" and credit type card which I keep with my passport. The period of time is approximately 5+ years as it will expire on your birthdate. This number is linked and integrated with your passport so when you insert your passport the info is on file and you do NOT need to enter anything additional.

We had the option of the Sanford or Orlando international airports to report to for our interviews with Homeland Security. But, from what I have read, NOT all states participate in this.

It is also good to enter this info in your profile info with the airlines you use so that when your boarding passes are created it should have the TSA pre-check on them but again I don't think that is an absolute. (Although I have always had the TSA PRE print on our boarding passes for domestic and international flights since getting it.)

Leaving Aruba after you collect your luggage you are directed to the kiosks on the right wall and it definitely speeds up that process.

Aruba does not recognize TSA pre check but this one step does in fact save some time and get you to your gate faster.

Like your passports, I also read to be sure to always submit a renewal in enough time and not let it expire. If it expires then you would need to go through the entire application process again which would be a pain.

Let me try and save this the right way.

SHUT UP!

Good news for me and others who have it is that until sometime next year I read there is no Global Entry's being processed. Be aware that you pay and may not be approved. When I went to JFK 5 years ago for my interview which is very official I asked after being approved do they disapprove many people and the officer says yes more then one would think. Friend got arrested in college for drunk and disorderly goes for interview asked if he was ever arrested he says no. Officer reminds him of the arrest over 35 years before. Friend says he forgot. Officer turned him down because he lied on his application. I believe once they turn you down that's it.

Be that as it may I am glad some of you have it but a world where too many people have it and you are right back on L-O-N-G lines leaving Aruba but this time it's the limited Global Entry line.

As Elmer Fudd says......."be quiet be wery, wery quiet"

Some credit card companies offer Global Entry for free.
I know Chase Sapphire does. They have a high yearly fee, but you get it back with freebies and a $300.00 yearly travel credit.
