I just don’t think I’d actually be able to use one (until Its not my decision  ) unfortunately I’ll be one of the ones with my hand in the air :? I think we just get a bottle of water, upon boarding. Last I read the the Airport Lounges are closed too, no escaping the maddening crowd; here’s hoping things will change by December.

Off the AC website this morning.

Lounges

For the well-being of all our customers and employees, we have temporarily closed all lounges until further notice. This includes the following facilities:

All Maple Leaf Lounges
Air Canada Café at Toronto-Pearson (YYZ)
Air Canada Signature Suite at Toronto-Pearson (YYZ)
Air Canada Signature Suite at Vancouver International (YVR)
London-Heathrow Arrivals Lounge (LHR)
Please note that other partner lounges may also be closed. We invite you to check directly with the operating carrier.

Of course. Canada is still under the Level 3 Avoid All Non essential travel ban, once they lift that, that may change things too.

I read Air Canada you have to raise your hand to go to the bathroom cuz they don’t want passengers lining up down the aisle so they can control physical distancing and sanitizing

What happens if they ignore my hand and I pee my pants??!!
Since there is no service, I’m sure they will have the pee line well under control

I am part of a group with other Delta Medallion members and quite a few have been flying through this madness.

Delta Skyclub lounges are still open in the U.S. airports and they are serving alcohol. No more food on the buffet though - it's all prepackaged and wrapped up.

A big note: Even though you are allowed to take a 12 oz hand sanitizer thru TSA/security - DON’T DO IT! Triggers all kinds of alarms and resulted in full pat down. They have said TSA is doing their job but not worth the hassle.

AA, how many times did you volunteer to be patted down.

It does however bring up the business/first class extras and the costs involved. With many airlines having a business/first class ticket gets you admission to the lounges, buffet options as Amy noted, open bar, welcome drink on board as well as white glove service of drinks and food served on real plates, glasses and cups. That has a cost to the airlines and obviously to us. Looks like for now any of that is not offered but sure the airlines will not lower or refund any of the fares.
