OK I can take the endless "must dos", the moment by moment changing of the rules and requirements, wear gloves then no need for gloves and no mask then must wear masks, the washing your hands till your bones show through and the hand sanitizing, the spraying of every surface you touch or even look at, the social distancing, the experts not agreeing on anything, the 24/7 sky is falling cable news

BUT this is completely the last straw....................

Airlines and planning on NOT serving alcohol on the planes. So far it appears JetBlue, Delta, Southwest and a few others.

It is the end of airline travel.

OMG!! Even first class?? Wait a minute. There is no first class on JB and Southwest. So even first class on Delta?
I am going to need to check on Air Canada. This is really, really serious!!!

I came home from Aruba on the last Delta to US on March 25. My tickets were return on first class ( I'm old, like my comfort, and like occasional cocktails). I was fortunate to get that flight and only cut my stay by one day. I was really looking forward to a good drink. I got a small bottle of water and a snack box for dinner. Only packaged anything was served. Disappointed? you bet! Understand it? for sure! I go in February, travel alone, get wheelchair service,.stay usually 6 weeks. Came home and had to self quarantine for 2 weeks. Right now, I'm still aiming for Feb. I'm looking into alternatives for insurance. I always get it because I'm old and know how expensive medical care is. People forget Aruba's covid cases started with 2 people flying in from New York. Maaybe I'll run into Ann or Mindy again in the casino.

I am not saying that it is fair to deprive others of their moderate enjoyment of alcohol, but these days you may have noticed that many people are already anxious and upset. Unfortunately airline personnel have to deal with passengers who become belligerent after drinking. Flight attendants should not have to be bartenders. We can easily go through a few hours of alcohol free travel.

Am I dreaming? Is this a nightmare? Please pinch me so I wake up. No alcohol? This is absurd. I'm calling JB as soon as I get done here. Oh wait they only want to talk to you if your flight leaves in a couple of days. We can still bring nips correct? They are less than 3 ozs.

A sense of humor, as well as understanding, and patience started 3 months ago.

You can bring your own nips but it is against federal law to consume them on the plane. Sorry.

I read Air Canada you have to raise your hand to go to the bathroom cuz they don’t want passengers lining up down the aisle so they can control physical distancing and sanitizing

Like the rest of you I am hoping that over the next few months as Aruba opens up, airlines and airports and immigration work through their own versions of the "end of the world" that like is happening all around it isn't ending and by just taking some basic precautions live goes on and we can live it.

For many years before we started to upgrade to first class I would go to my local liquor store pick up these little bottles of vodka put them in the appropriate clear plastic bag in my carry on. Got on the plane ordered orange juice and cranberry and made my own cocktails. Sure you can still do that. If I have to step back to the good old days I will.

So far United is not one of the cutting alcohol airlines.

I'll bet there's gonna be a run on those little "nipper" bottles.

Guess I've been breaking the law for a long, long time. Maybe I should jist go drink my little nip of Drambuie that I'd been saving for last April's trip.
