Another great (better sound) LCB Owners Meeting. Lots of great information that Is too much for me to type out and only specific to LCB. If you have a specific question, ask here and I will let you know what I heard. There will be further updates on the website. Sounds like they have got things well under control when the borders open. Will it be the LCB that we last visited, nope, lots of rules to ensure the resort and island’s integrity. Reading between the lines......if you can’t or won’t follow the new rules, you shouldn’t come

It was indicated that an option may be at the border to require proof of Medical insurance. If you are diagnosed while there, you will not be quarantined at LCB.

May 6

There is an update on the LCB page. Of particular note especially for renters who may think they are renting a certain room and amenities available, all understandable and in keeping with rolling things out in stages in my opinion. To me it's a positive move in the right direction. We just need to get there.....

"However, in order to guarantee everyone's safety and comply with the Ministerial Regulation AB 1989 no.62, we are currently working on the "new norms" guidelines on how we will be able to serve all our visitors without jeopardizing anyone's health: Enhanced Sanitizing and disinfection protocols for all guest rooms and public areas, signage around the resort and the heart of the house, ordering of masks and additional equipment/tools just to name a few… Protective glass will be installed at the check-in pods at the Front Desk, in the Members Lounge and other guest interaction areas. We are also preparing for a soft opening of our Food & Beverage outlets once resort reopens for take outs and room service.

"For the coming months, we will only use one side of the building, being the south side, to accommodate all our incoming members and guests. It will help us to better maintain the sanitation standards during this early state of re-opening and contribute to additional energy savings for that duration. This partial re-opening means that we may need to re-assign your owned room to a comparable one. Furthermore, and because of the enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols which will require more steps and time to execute, we will be introducing a 10:00 a.m. check-out time as a permanent measure from this point on."

South side is the wing beside Paradise.

Thanks Larry

A few good things....with the restaurants/bar working on takeaway only when they first open, there will be more roaming LCB staff taking orders to deliver to your chair/hut. There will also be room service. Like the beach, pool chairs will be piled at the end of the day, and they will be sanitized. Once you arrive in the morning, your chair will be brought to your chosen umbrella. When you arrive your room will be sanitized and there won’t be daily maid service. The bellman will bring your bags to your room with mask and gloves but you will be the only one in there for the week. They are working out details for towel exchange and garbage without anyone entering your room. You won’t be required to wear a mask around resort, but you may wish to wear the one you’ll have from the plane when you leave the resort.

These are just a few things being implemented during the initial reopening. The only new rule that will remain At this time is the new checkout time of 10 to enable the sanitizing program after the regular room cleaning between guests.

At least all the palapas on the beach are spaced 6 ft apart......some Palm Beach places might have to go to every other palapa. That will surely raise the rents.
