No one seems to be doing trip reports or restaurant reviews anymore.

mikey, could not agree more. It's as dry on this BB as the far side of Aruba and the posters in general have also dried up on all the threads except the Swamp endless non-Aruba dribble.

I promiss I will do restaurant reviews in 2 months. I will be on Aruba for 5 weeks and will eat off the beaten path, next to cooking myself and a fancy restaurant now and then.

As for people not posting that much, I guess they all moved to the Aruba facebook pages, where the same questions are asked again and again (what are the best restaurants, where to stay, where to rent a car and how to see those sorry, bad treated few flamingoes).

I always post a trip report & restaurant reviews after we come home from our annual 3-week September trip.

Unfortunately, I think many long time Aruba goers, like me, are slowly getting disenfranchised. With all the new taxes and fees, timeshare costs, airport problems, mega hotel construction, palapa issues, restaurant reservation difficulties, etc, etc., it is not like it used to be. We went there to relax, not to be stressed. It's going the way of Panama City Beach Florida, sad to watch.

I will post again this July as we did last year. It does seem that people are losing interest in this board but I still like to post what we do. This year will be a little different as we are taking the granddaughter for the first time. Looking forward to showing her some of the things we have not seen in years.
