The department of calamity management and the local meteorological department are simulating a tsunami on March 14, 2019 as part of Caribewave.

Carib Wave is a Regional Emergency Response Training coordinated by UNESCO.

With help of a simulation, Aruba trains a crisis response to any future possible calamity.

Simulation will take place on March 14, 2019 as of 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. After an emergency sms and radio transmissions by local authorities, the danger and safety plan will be notified.

All local authorities, first response departments, local companies, schools and hotels are participating in the Carib Wave simulation.

The reason for different countries in the world, including Aruba to participate? To find out how prepared Aruba is incase of a tsunami or any other national energy.
