Aruba in May! Been only as a cruise stop before, so saw only a beach for a few hours. Looking at a week's visit and I gotta know...what are the best happy hours? Price is a factor, for sure, but also best atmosphere, views and whether they also serve food. Any insider tips appreciated!

Under my palapa with my adult beverage I prepared at lunch in my room from 2:00 till I nap around 4:30.

Picks up again about 6:00ish as I sit out on the balcony and watch the people returning from the beach and the sun beginning to set.

Donna, we will be staying in an apartment near the giant supermarket, near Amsterdam Manor/low-rise area.

I don't know much about the low rise area HHs. I think Amsterdam Manor beach bar's hh is 2 for 1 from 5-6pm.

The Pata Pata Bar at LaCabana Resort is a good Happy Hour spot - live music and 2-for-1 drinks from 4-6pm

The best Happy Hours are at La Cabana across from Eagle Beach nearby from Super Foods. From 2-3 pm at the Pata Pata pool bar and Oasis Beach Bar frozen Daiquiris and Pina Colada are 2-1. All drinks are 2-1 from 4-6 pm. Most afternoons there is a live band playing at the pool bar. There is also a nightcap 2 for 1 HH on all drinks also at the pool bar from 10-11 pm. There is a bar menu and next to the pool bar is Islander Grill serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. For more of a romantic experience is the outdoor Las Ramblas restaurant. https://www.lacabana.com/en/food-beverage All are welcome at the bars and restaurants at La Cabana. Though only guests of La Cabana are allowed to use the pool.

If I can't use the pool where do I pee?

Costa Linda is just down the street from Amsterdam Manor, on Eagle Beach, and we have great happy hours.
The drinks are 2 for 1 at 12 noon to 1 pm, 4-6 pm and 9-10 pm. We have a large bar outside and you can enjoy looking at Eagle beach and sunsets from your seat. There are free appetizers brought out and some days there is live music, including steel drums. You can also order food at the bar, casual food like burgers and fries, while the inside restaurant has a proper dinner menu. The burgers are really good; one of the best that I've had on the island. Oh, and if you are interested in sports on TV, there are TVs at the bar.

Happy hour at Amsterdam Manor's bars are 2 for 1 on drinks.

Beach Bar: 4pm-5pm
Upper level pool bar (Horizons): 5pm-6pm and 9pm-10pm

Tuesday evenings you cannot find a more swinging and happy crowd than at the Bugaloe bar which is at the end of the pier which is on the beach between the Riu and the Hilton hotels in the high rise area known as Palm Beach. There is a rocking band there from 7 to 10 pm; their name is Joyride. Great drinks, good food. It's party time at Bugaloe on Tuesday evenings. Don't miss it. Enjoy.
