This is the first year we spent 3 weeks in Aruba in the same room; previous years we had 2 weeks in our room & then had to move to a rented room for the 3rd week. It's wonderful not having to change rooms. We had only one day where it rained most of the day. The ocean conditions weren't great, but we were able to swim most days during our 3 weeks. We're there for weeks 36, 37, & 38. After we left, we read that it got worse for week 39. The
beach at CLBR is so wide that it's hard to picture the waves sending water up to the units by the beach. ABC & CDM which don't have much beach got hit pretty hard. Hope it improves for the folks going in week 40.

While driving downtown for dinner one evening (when a cruise ship was in), we finally saw the trolley - there were
about 4 people on it - guess I can't call it the invisible trolley anymore.

Looking forward to 2019 trip.

Thank You for taking the time to post. Your report provides us with a little sunshine while we are away from our "2nd home".

I was wondering what the cost of the dinner on Ren Island was and if you would do it again. Did you think the food was good even though it was not exactly what was on the menu? Thanks!

The cost was $65 per person, which included the round-trip boat ride. The drinks and wine are extra. We had the
same wine (Love Pinot Noir) at Wacky Wahoo's & it was $7.00 less at Wacky's. They add the 15% service charge
to the check. Food was so-so. Although it was a fun evening (musician / singer was very good), I don't think we'll do it again. On a future trip, we may extend our vacation & rent a day or two at the Ren - just to check out the Flamingos & have lunch there.

Thanks for the trip report and the photos; I always enjoy reading about our home away from home.
