I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good snorkeling boat/catamaran tour? It's been many years since we've been on one (over 25 years ago) and we are looking to get a little adventurous next summer. We will be visiting with friends who have never had the pleasure of coming to Aruba and they wanted to give snorkeling a try. Just looking for a simple/reliable tour for a few hours which includes the usual snacks and open bar.

Any recommendations, along with comments, would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim

Aruba Bob's is awesome for snorkeling but no drinks and snacks. After snorkeling you can always go to Zeerovers after.

The Tranquilo: nice sail from Oranjestad to Magel Halto, snorkeling at a shallow reef area and open bar, sandwiches and the famous peasoup with the nicest captain and crew. Also, not a cattle boat filled with people.

We love the Tranquilo but if you want just a few hours and not an all day trip the Octopus is also very good and not packed with people.

Black Pearl is my favorite! Only about 16 people. Great food and drink. Goes out in afternoon.

We LOVE the Black Pearl. Small group is such a plus, nice and relaxing. Great cheese sandwiches cold and then grilled and free flowing drinks and nice music. Crew is very friendly. Need to book ahead though. Look on website for available dates.

For snorkeling only, Aruba Bob is great, but no boat, snacks nor drinks. They take you in van to Mangel Halto. Also very small intimate groups. They also offer a night snorkel if you want to be REALLY adventurous. I wouldn't try this one unless all are experienced snorkelers though.

Enjoy, whatever you decide!

We love the Black Pearl, it is a little pricey, but I think it is worth not being squished in like cattle. Only 20 people and nice roomy lounges. The drinks and food are ok but that's alright we go for the room, lol.

Tranquilo South Side Lunch Cruise is the best kept secret on the island. Maybe not a secret anymore. We have gone on it every year for the past 10 years.

Another recommendation for the Tranquilo south side cruise. I love doing the drift snorkel.

Highly recommend Tranquilo too, family run, great lunch, open bar. Much more personal than the "pack em on" catamarans

I have done both Tranquilo and Black Pearl and either one would be a great choice!
