Yes it goes fast!! Dan and I were in our 40’s and now we’re in our 60’s.

As always looking forward to returning. We are there from Sept 1 for 3 weeks at La Quinta.

While I don’t post nearly as often as in the past, have some interesting suggestions for new places to try - checking in on reviews and trip reports. Thanks to all for feedback especially regarding car rentals. Will be using Hans for our car rental having used Econo for ALL the other years. Time for a change. Ya think! We also have some new restaurants to try out but will mostly look for fun in the sun. We’re beach people and enjoy time in the water, sipping cocktails and catching up with friends.

We’ll try to be better about doing reports this time.

Have fun! I hope to hear back on your thoughts about places to eat. And remember, for us staying behind, there is no such thing as a boring tripreport.

Enjoy the trip. 3 weeks is just right for a Aruba trip. I, like Ingrid hope to read your trip reviews and new restaurant reviews.

Thanks Ingrid! I’ve taken notes from your last report/reviews. Hope to have one or two more to add.

Enjoy...remember to line up and receive your Certificate of Distinction for your 20 consecutive years when you are there. Since you will be there for 3 weeks, that is sufficient time to arrange it when you arrive and also be there to get the newspaper posting.

Thanks Joann. Hadn’t thought to do that. We assume our GM at La Quinta could provide details on how to go about it.

Our Member Services Manager takes care of that for us. Either way, drop them an e-mail to give them a heads up. The main thing is that it is done early enough in your visit as I mentioned so you can be sure to get the write up in the newspaper. This eliminates asking someone to mail it to you. I have done that several times for owners when they have left and we are there the following week to get it for them.

They should be able to set it up for you. We got our 20 year Goodwill Ambassador Certificate in 2015 and Amsterdam Manor handled everything and just let us know the date/time and all we had to do was show up for the presentation.

Congratulations Arubadoug thats a lot of days (may be into years)
It will be our 20 consecutive year this October and we to are in our 60's.
We always stay at the Tamarijn and think the staff are just great.

I was told a while back that once you hit the 20 you are able to enter immigration at the the airport through the locals lane and avoid the long lines. Anyone know if this is correct.

Ken & Sharon Portchester. England.

We have been going for over 20 consecutive years and, to the best of my knowledge, that is incorrect unless they have no line and wave you over.

Immigration is actually pretty fast now due to the new automated passport readers.
