I have never used any of the services like Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline etc. I do use them to compare prices but have always booked direct with airlines, hotels and car rental companies.

I have read here and other sites the stories of people getting to a location showing the on-line companies paperwork to be told there are no records of the transaction.

So should I have you used these companies?

I always use Cheapcaribbean.com who always beats those 3 in pricing and have never had a problem in the maybe 10 times we have booked with them.

Almost always do my travel bookings through Expedia. You can easily check the booking afterwards using the confirmation #s if desired. I usually bundle the flight and hotel. Tried other sites, Expedia almost always cheapest. Never a problem.

Not sure if you try Cheapcaribbean.com in your comparisons but I just did one.
November 7-14 staying at the Tam bundled with flight for 2 people.
Expedia $4039.00
CheapCaribbean $3864.00 save $175

I have also booked through Cheapcaribbean a few times (for other islands, not Aruba) and always got a great deal and had no issues whatsoever.
