There really isn't a lot. I have heard Soprano's piano bar is good but I have never been. Bugaloe has live bands a few nights a week and that is pretty fun.

If you are looking for free "quality" entertainment then it is few and far between.

I usually work my way to the RUI's. Since they are all-inclusive they have nightly entertainment for their guests and it is often quite good.

There used to be a guy I think his name was Lenny Lake. He would pop up in busy areas at night outside and sing along to his pre recorded music.

Aruba rolls up the streets at night.

Marriott often has good music in their lobby bar area. I understand the show at Alhambra (2 nights a week)) is good.

For us "old timers"...remember the Jewel Box Revue (female impersonators) at the casino near LaCabana? Every time we would have new people come to the island to vacation with us that was a show to bring them to. In its prime that was quite the casino with dining too. Too bad it didn't survive and wasn't run properly.

Although the choices are limited there are areas with local island entertainment here and there.

That was a great show. We saw it a few times.

I am not a gambler but my nightly entertainment is often watching people win (sorry I had to stop to laugh) at the casinos.

Where in Alhambra is the show? What nights and what kind of show? Been to Aruba many times and I've never heard or saw anything about it.

We saw Amy Sorinio in April at the Marriott Resort in the Lobby and she was also playing at Dushi Bagels & Burgers at Playa Linda in April. She is a fabulous singer. This month she is also downtown at Renaissance Seaport Marketplace and Hadicurari Restaurant. This month's schedule http://amysorinio.com/events-amy-sorinio/

Fusion Tapas Restaurants & Wine Bar at Alhambra mall has music nightly. You don't have to have dinner or drinks at Fusion as the music is outside on the plaza.

Aruba Ray's Comedy Show at Marriott Resort is returning to Aruba in July 8 to Aug. 10th. His website is not updated yet. http://www.rayellin.com/appearances.htm

Also they have a Frank Sinatra singer at the Old Canuku House (sp). We went and it is entertaining in a funny kind of way. Singer, I think, is from Sweden but he does love Frankie songs. The food is pretty good and it is a very cool looking restaurant. Think the show is 15.00 and you pay for your dinner separate.

Always thought it was an opportunity that needed further exploring. Folks on vacation are, in general, looking for something to do at night. After dinner, we go home....usually by 11 as we no longer go to the casinos (OK maybe once or twice in three weeks).

In the past, we’d do the shows at the Chrystal downtown and saw the Jewel Box Review a couple of times. Even with a smaller venue, I’d think dancing to live music could be a draw. Maybe theme nights - 50’s, 60’s, disco, etc. - just need a disco, a place with a cool vibe and good drinks and music.

Not sure if any of the larger hotels that are part of a brand name, Hilton, Marriott, would have something for guests. Pool parties (at night), luaus / bbq on the beach, tea dances? ...

Happy hour is pretty much everywhere, so something else.

RE: Frank Sinatra show
You can do a dinner show, or just the show. The show itself is $15 pp, and lasts about 2 hrs. It is on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. They can seat about 40 people, so it is probably a good idea to call ahead. Fred de Jong does a pretty good "imitation" of Frank and he likes to mingle with the audience during his breaks.
